For Musumeci Seafoods, Newmat Australia delivered 40m² of translucent, backlit stretch ceiling boxes — creating a bright, clean and contemporary retail environment that enhances both product visibility and customer experience.
Working alongside Chee Lam Design and Trinity Shopfitting, this tenancy fit-out reflects the evolving standard of design across one of Sydney’s most iconic waterfront destinations.

Newmat Australia is proud to have collaborated on this landmark redevelopment of Peninsula University Hospital (formerly Frankston Hospital).

At the heart of the new entrance, a stunning series of tree branch–inspired columns frame 21 leaf-shaped faux skylights by Newmat Australia—bringing the architect’s vision to life with a sense of calm, clarity, and natural light.

For decades, Peninsula University Hospital has been a vital hub for Melbourne’s south-east. Now, through a $1.1 billion transformation, the campus has evolved into a state-of-the-art vertical hospital, anchored by a striking 12-storey clinical services tower.

It’s inspiring to see design, innovation, and partnership come together to create spaces that truly support patient care and community wellbeing.

It's all about first impressions! Newmat Australia is honoured to have delivered 830 square metres of custom acoustic backlit lighting to the refurbishment of 33 Alfred Street. Using our acoustic AC-TX04 translucent fabric double layer system, the result is of a lobby environment that's not only visually stunning but also acoustically refined.

We were thrilled to collaborate with on 1 Market St, for Nuix, The Australian technology company.

Our T1320 translucent stretch membrane was installed in Nuix’s X-shaped backlit design, echoing their logo and transforming the boardroom into a modern, sophisticated space that highlights a dynamic, productive work environment.

In addition, Newmat supplied and installed a circular recessed ceiling giving their demo space a sleek, polished finish.

A little sneak peek of our latest and most spectacular acoustic light box project we have completed. Soon to be opened, this space has been transformed by the teams of MAZ builders, HASSELL Architects and Electrolight. Thank you to our team of designers, fabricators and installers who joined forces with site teams to co-ordinate the 500 acoustic light boxes to Qantas Domestic Melbourne. More info to come soon when all is opened.

Pascal and his staff have flown in to join us at Design Show Australia at the ICC. Pascal an I are standing in the lobby of the new Poly Centre on a George St. .australia
