7 News Townsville recently ran a segment highlighting the next major milestone for the Stuart Landfill Site - the commencement of Cells 4 & 5.

Our Mendi leadership team—Construction Manager Chris, Project Manager Mitch, and Site Supervisor Eamon—joined Nick Dametto Mayor of Townsville on-site at the Stuart Landfill to mark the upcoming start of construction on Cells 4 & 5.

As Mayor Dametto highlighted during the media brief, doing this job right and maintaining compliance with State Government environmental regulations is paramount.

We couldn't agree more. This critical Townsville City Council infrastructure requires a highly engineered, environmentally friendly approach. Cells 4 & 5 will feature advanced, multi-layered lining systems specifically designed to isolate waste completely and safeguard our local NQ soil and waterways.

With our extensive local fleet, decades of expertise, Mendi is fully equipped to deliver this project to the highest environmental and regulatory standards.

Works officially kick off on-site next week! 🦺👏
