GAMCON recently completed one of our more intricate deep-foundation projects in the core of Toronto, installing piles extending approximately 30–40 feet below grade in challenging site conditions.

Projects like this are rarely as simple as following a drawing.

As unforeseen obstructions and changing ground conditions were encountered, our team worked closely with the project engineers to evaluate each challenge, adapt the installation approach, and keep the project moving forward without compromising the engineered design.

Over 50 helical piles installed. Mission accomplished.

This project presented its fair share of challenges, with pile depths reaching 35–40 feet and unexpected ground obstructions encountered throughout the installation process.

Rather than letting those challenges slow the project down, our team worked side-by-side with the project engineer to develop immediate solutions, keeping the schedule moving while maintaining the highest engineering and installation standards.

Really poor soil conditions? We find a way.

On this North York project, our helical piles were required for a new home foundation — and with challenging soil conditions on site, the piles went down approximately 30–40 feet to reach the proper bearing capacity.

This is where experience, the right equipment, and problem-solving matter.
