Employee Spotlight - Corinne St-Onge
Meet Corinne, our logistics director here at Lopes! here’s a little about her journey at Lopes and what she has to say about being part of the team.
“I have been with Lopes for 11 years, and my journey here has allowed me to grow through a variety of roles. I began in a cleaning position, then transitioned into the fabrication shop where I worked as a laborer and later as a welder/fitter for four years, until my second pregnancy. Toward the end of my pregnancy, I moved into a logistics role and quickly discovered how much I enjoyed it. Having already built strong relationships within the company made it easier to collaborate with and support our field team.
After returning from maternity leave, I resumed my position in Logistics, where I continued to grow and excel. One of my favorite aspects of working in the shop was seeing projects come to life—starting with raw steel and transforming it into intricate, and sometimes massive, finished pieces in just a matter of days. The dedication of our team is incredible, and the environment truly feels like family.
In my current role as a Logistics Administrator, I enjoy coordinating daily schedules for our crews, keeping up with the high demand for materials and deliveries in the field, and organizing large transport loads. It’s a fast-paced and rewarding position that keeps me engaged every day.
What I appreciate most about our workplace is the culture. From extracurricular activities like our softball team and curling tournaments to our annual Christmas party, there’s a strong sense of community. Leadership, especially Felix, consistently shows appreciation and gives back to employees and the community in meaningful ways.
It's hard to describe Lopes in just one word—it wouldn’t do it justice. But if I had to choose a few, I would say: community, family, and a truly great team."
