Fifty years ago, Felix Lopes Sr. started Lopes Limited in his family garage. Friday night, he was back on the dance floor to celebrate it. Lopes Limited threw "Lopes Studio 50," a Studio 54 themed night, and packed the room with staff, family, and friends. Fifty years of teamwork, quality, and service across Northern Ontario, and still one big family. Here's to the next fifty 🎉

Another year, another fantastic golf tournament!

We hit up Twin Stacks Golf Course on August 14th for our annual employee golf tournament and it delivered exactly what we had hoped for, sunshine, team spirit, questionable swings, and a whole lot of laughs.

We have to extend a huge thank you to all of our sponsors who helped us put on such a great day! Your support turned a good day into a great one, and we're so grateful to have partners like you!

Our very own Josee Ouellettehas been featured for Northeastern Ontario Construction Association SheBuild Spotlight for August!

As one of our Health and Safety Supervisors, Josee takes a great amount of pride in everything that she does - her attention to detail, her drive to keep learning, and her commitment to safety on every site makes her someone our entire team trusts.

Congratulations Josee for this much deserved recognition! We are so lucky to have you on our team.

This chute assembly is the fourth in an ongoing project consisting of nine unique chutes. Although they are fabricated for a client with deep roots in Ontario, once fabricated, they will travel out of province for use underground within the potash mining sector.

Each chute assembly contains a unique set of subcomponents spanning four different material grades. Fully assembled, this chute occupies a 3-dimensional envelope larger than (4) Ford F150 SuperDuty Trucks (or 4,350 cuFt.). The chute pictured required skilled integration of highly dissimilar steel presenting a unique set of challenges that showcased our teams expertise and innovative problem-solving abilities.

This ongoing project will see over 100,000 pounds of custom plate fabrication delivered out-of-province.

Last year we spent 4 days with the incredible Brandon Gray and his team. They spent their time talking with various team members about our history, who we are today, our values, and what makes working at Lopes different.

We will be launching the video in September and we cannot wait to share it with you all!

Where We Started. Where We're Going

What started in 1976 as a small garage sheet metal shop founded by Felix Lopes Sr. has grown into one of Northern Ontario’s trusted industrial contractors.

From our early beginnings in Sudbury to the company we is today, Lopes Limited has continued to grow through hard work, strong relationships, quality craftsmanship, and a commitment to the people and communities we serve.

While we have evolved over the decades, the values we were built on continues to shape everything we do as we look towards the future.
