UBC Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UBC UAS) is a multidisciplinary group of students spanning the faculties of Applied Science, Forestry, Arts, Science and the Sauder School of Business. Competing in the annual Unmanned Systems Canada Student Competition, their members design, build, and fly custom unmanned aircraft to solve real-world problems. Unmanned aircraft are beginning to provide incredible va

lue for the transport of medicine in remote areas, disaster response, search and rescue operations, endangered species protection, agriculture planning, and even early wildfire detection. By fostering an environment for hands-on learning and innovation in unmanned aircraft development, UBC UAS strives to inspire the next generation of professionals in this growing sector.

RealSense develops depth-sensing cameras and vision systems enabling us to improve our computer vision and 3D mapping (SLAM) capabilities.
