In the energy sector, we often talk about the technical challenges of working offshore or away from home, but not enough about the personal ones.
For many energy workers, being away from home for weeks at a time means missing birthdays, anniversaries, school events, family dinners, and everyday moments with loved ones. While the job may take place hundreds of miles offshore, the impact is often felt back at home too.
Life on rotation can be rewarding, but it can also feel isolating. Long periods away from family and friends can lead to loneliness, stress, and challenges with mental wellbeing.
Tomorrow is World Mental Health Day, we want to recognise the dedication of the men and women who keep our industry moving while making personal sacrifices that often go unseen.
A simple check-in, a conversation, or letting someone know they're not alone can make a bigger difference than we realise.
Let's continue to create a culture where mental health is spoken about openly and support is always available.

We often talk about placements, projects, and results, but what really makes our business special are the relationships behind them. We love getting to know our contractors and clients, supporting them throughout their journey, and building partnerships that go beyond the job itself. Thrilled to share that both Ryan Gribble and Bethany MacDonald both successfully completed their Sales and Account Management training.

Throughout the course both gained valuable insights and practices in selling and managing key accounts.

GoreVega are proud to have sponsored Damian Boron and friends who are taking part in the annual Zlombol Extreme Rally from Poland to Albania!

The Zlombol Rally is a charity event which is organised to raise money for children from orphanages across Poland by selling advertising space on participants cars and the goal is to finish approx. 2500km, over multiple stages, in a car that was built or designed during the communist era. The cost of each car bought for the rally should not exceed £300.00 and this is at the cost of the volunteers taking part, all donations go directly to the Charity. Although only 2 cars took place in the first rally in 2007, there were an outstanding 767 teams in this years event!
