We’re strengthening the electricity grid in the North West — and we want to hear from you.

The Coolkeeragh 110 kV Substation Extension involves the upgrade and extension of the existing substation within the grounds of Coolkeeragh Power Station at Maydown, Derry~Londonderry.

Once complete, the project will strengthen the electricity network in the North West.

SONI Ltd have agreed to invest in our first aid training programme available to both members and staff. We are committed to ensuring our staff and members are equipped with the correct first aid training that they will be able to use both within YFCU and everyday life.

In May, renewables provided 43.3% of the electricity generated in Northern Ireland ⚡

🌬️Wind remained the largest renewable source at 34.7%, with solar contributing 3.2%☀️, renewable hydro 0.1%, and other renewable sources 5.3%.

🔋Battery storage contributed 0.3%, supporting a more flexible and resilient electricity system.
