Berkeley Farm Dairy has switched on a six-acre ground mounted solar PV array, enabling the family-run dairy to generate its own renewable electricity and cut energy costs by nearly £88,000 per year.

The solar farm is forecast to generate more than 642,400 kWh of clean electricity annually, delivering approximately 136,410 kg of carbon savings each year while helping to protect the agribusiness from rising energy costs.

These photos capture a key milestone on this 575kWp solar carport project, with roof works now complete and the installation progressing into the next stage of delivery.

What began as a complex construction phase is now clearly taking form, transforming a standard car park into productive energy infrastructure that will soon generate significant on-site renewable electricity.

Once complete, this solar carport will help to:

SolarSense has strengthened its national solar operations and maintenance (O&M) service following the establishment of a major new partnership with Aviva – the first major insurer worldwide to aim for Net Zero by 2040.

After a successful 12-month pilot programme, SolarSense is now a Specialist Partner within Aviva’s Risk Management Solutions network, supporting Aviva’s commercial clients with expert solar PV operations, maintenance and compliance services across the UK. The appointment reflects a rigorous evaluation of SolarSense’s technical capability, service delivery, reporting standards and approach to risk management.
