We’ve been a bit quiet on Facebook, but there’s still been plenty going on behind the scenes.

While many schools have now broken up for the summer holidays, it’s business as usual here at Kemp Fabrications Ltd.

The workshop has been incredibly busy over the past week, with steel continuing to move through fabrication and out the door to our customers. Our team has been working hard to keep projects on schedule, and we couldn’t be prouder of their dedication, teamwork and craftsmanship.

A huge thank you to every member of our team for your continued hard work, commitment and attention to detail. It’s because of people like you that we’re able to deliver quality steelwork safely and on time.

Here’s a little snapshot of what we’ve been up to over the last week. 👷‍♂️

We’ve been a little quiet on here recently… not because we’ve slowed down, quite the opposite!

June and July have been full-on, with the workshop working flat out to keep projects moving. It’s been incredibly busy, incredibly hot, and we’ve even had the odd hiccup along the way (including our overhead crane deciding to take an unexpected break!).

But if there’s one thing we’ve been reminded of, it’s how lucky we are to have such a hardworking team. When challenges come along, everyone simply pulls together, gets stuck in and keeps things moving. That’s what teamwork is all about.

Here’s a little snapshot of what we’ve been up to recently. A huge thank you to the whole team for your hard work, especially during this heatwave. We really do appreciate everything you do.

Welding in this heat is crazy!

The fridge is packed with ice-cold drinks, the freezer’s full of ice creams, and regular hydration breaks are a must.

A massive thank you to our lads for cracking on through this heatwave with the same skill, dedication and craftsmanship as always. We couldn’t be prouder of the work they produce. 👏

A refreshing change from the norm!

Our Managing Director recently commented, “When I first started in the industry, everything was red oxide. Nowadays, it’s nearly always grey!”

In the structural steel industry, protective coatings are typically specified using recognised British Standard (BS) or RAL colour systems, ensuring consistency, durability and compliance with project specifications. Grey shades remain the most common choice, making it all the more refreshing to see something different leave the workshop.

This latest load of beams, columns, PFCs, box sections and bracings has been finished in Juniper Green, giving the steelwork a distinctive and eye-catching appearance while still providing the high-performance protective coating required for structural applications.

It’s always rewarding to see clients opting for something a little different. The Juniper Green finish really showcases the fabrication and proves that structural steel doesn’t always have to be grey.

Busy workshops are happy workshops.

June has been full steam ahead here at Kemp Fabrications, with the team working hard to keep projects moving and deadlines met. It’s fantastic to see the workshop full of steel, machinery and skilled craftsmanship, all coming together to produce quality work for our customers.

What a week it’s been so far 🥵

The lads are working like Trojans, pushing on and getting the job done even in this heatwave. It’s not easy welding and fabricating in these temperatures, but they’ve shown real grit and teamwork all week.

We’re making sure they’re well looked after, plenty of refreshments and a freezer full of ice creams to keep them going

Couldn’t be prouder of the team. Proper hard work and a fantastic attitude all round!
