Look what we uncovered:

Our customers at the Manor House in Bury did not know there was a window hidden under the stone infill on their gable end.

After exposure, the window frame was carefully removed, all rotten oak replaced, and the original mullions were treated, strengthened and reused to make this beautiful window which, now fills their loft with light.

Set into the internal mortises of the window frame we added stanchions (slender iron uprights) between each mullion.  This practice was typical of the C17 and especially popular with leaded windows.

Although this window is very high stanchions were added for security.

Doesn't it look great? We cannot wait to see it once the scaffolding has been dropped.

I think you will agree, it looks great. We cannot wait to see it once the scaffolding has been dropped.

This basement was Previously under water. A new sump pump was fitted, and all surfaces were sandblasted to remove limewash in preparation for tanking solutions. Now a usable space, screaming wine cellar! 🍾🍾🍾

We love older properties, but they can throw a few curve balls! This ones a bid delaminated gable end curve ball.

Manor House - Bury C16
Stone incasement wall delaminated from Timber frame and original rubble stone and plinth wall.

This House has the deepest walls we have ever worked on, some parts are 800mm thick!😳

The team are currently removing the wall, cleaning and grading the stone for reuse.

Thanks to Steve

Our fab customers waited years to gain listed building consent for this project, Understandable they cannot wait for it to be complete!

This 17th Century farmhouse was converted into 3 separate dwellings in the 19th century. Our work here has been to return the inhabitable dwellings back into one beautiful family home. Appreciation to all the trades and suppliers involved

Check out our mid-project photos.
