Vacuum casting for detailed low-volume parts

Vacuum casting uses a silicone mould and polyurethane resin to reproduce complex prototype geometries with good dimensional detail and surface quality.
It is particularly useful for parts that require functional testing, multiple iterations or small production.

From master pattern to silicone mould and final cast parts, the process can reproduce features such as thin walls, ribs, textures and fine details.

Why plastic parts look fine in mould trials 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘭 in mass production?

In many projects, T1 samples come off perfect, but issues appear once full production starts:

• Stable color in samples but drift in production
• Smooth surface in trial but defects in long runs
• Consistent size in sample but variation during mass output
• Better gloss in test parts than real batches

💡 A mould trial proves that good parts can be made, mass production proves that the process is stable under real-world conditions.
