With temperature above 25 degrees Celsius😎, our visit this week to Lismore College in Craigavon provided an opportunity to remind students that 24/7 Geothermal Energy can be used just as much for 'cooling' as 'heating'. An engaging session with over 100 pupils taking in all the GDC has to offer...VR Headset, Engineering and Geology Stations once again demonstrating the future benefits of GeoEnergy in Northern Ireland in our drive to Net Zero ... thanks for the invite and check out our website with much much more... ♻️🌍

What a fantastic start to Day One of the Science Showcase, part of the ! This morning was a real hive of activity, and great to working alongside our sister project GEMINI geothermal, meeting pupils of all ages buzzing with excitement as they explored everything the GeoEnergy Discover Centre has to offer. From hands-on geology to fascinating engineering demonstrations, and not forgetting the fun of the VR headsets, there was something for everyone. The energy and curiosity in the air were truly inspiring – we can't wait to see what the final day of the festival brings and if you are at the event don't forget to call over and say hi !

On International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we’d like to highlight the outstanding women on the overall GeoEnergy NI team and across our partner organisations who are promoting geothermal energy in Northern Ireland. We appreciate the diverse skills each member brings. This day celebrates the vital contributions women and girls make to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), bringing unique viewpoints, creativity, and innovation to scientific research & discovery and serves as a chance to celebrate accomplishments and encourage future generations of women and girls to pursue careers STEM subjects, including but not limited to the Geothermal sector.
