I was plastering today and had to take a radiator off to skim behind it. As soon as I saw the pipework, I couldn’t believe it. Those soldered joints… let’s just say they won’t be making anyone’s highlight reel. 🤦‍♂️

This is just a raw, unedited video of what I found, me trying (and failing) to work out how to flip the camera, and a bit of real life on site.

And before anyone says anything… the Stella was after I’d finished the job, cleaned everything up and got home. 🍺💪

Not every job is a full house or a full room. Sometimes it’s just helping a customer out with a single wall.

I squeezed this one in on a Sunday morning in between everything else I’ve had going on recently. A few hours later, it was left with a smooth finish and ready for decoration.

Another happy customer, another job completed to a high standard.

This ceiling had seen better days. After the electrician had been in to fit new spotlights, you could really appreciate the landscape of texture left behind by the old artex.

The customer had kindly applied the blue grit beforehand, so all that was left for me to do was skim it to a smooth, modern finish ready for decoration.

Another happy customer and another ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ review.

It’s been nice to have a switch-up from plastering this week.

I’m spending the week down in Oxford helping a mate transform his driveway. It’s a change from skimming walls and ceilings, but it’s still the kind of hands-on work I enjoy. Every job is different, and it’s always satisfying seeing a tired driveway completely transformed.

I’ll be back next week and ready to get the trowels back out. For now, it’s all about getting this driveway finished to a high standard.

This is a GP surgery, the walls were cracked and we stripped it back, boarded and skimmed. We then came back to decorate with washable paint and hygiene board.
