It was great to be at the Spring Placement and Graduate Careers Fair at the University of Plymouth.

Our team members Kyra Hodges and Rhys Jones had some excellent conversations with students about the real-world impact Marine AI is having across maritime autonomy, and what that means for future careers in engineering, software and autonomous systems.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to learn more about Marine AI, our teams and the opportunities emerging as autonomy continues to reshape the maritime sector. We look forward to staying in touch with many of you.

Whatever You Need, We Can Do It

Our GuardianAI™ technology powers autonomous vessels designed to tackle a wide range of maritime challenges. These include marine pollution control, environmental monitoring, and ensuring compliance with navigational regulations (COLREGs).

Our solutions are developed to improve operational efficiency while prioritising environmental sustainability. GuardianAI™ vessels can operate without disturbing marine habitats, supporting both human safety and the protection of marine life. The versatility of our technology allows it to be applied across various sectors, from harbour cleanup to offshore operations.

Maritime Leaders Forum: Exploring AI in the Maritime Sector

Yesterday, Matthew Ratsey, Managing Director of Marine AI (and Zero USV), joined an esteemed panel at the 7th Maritime Leaders Forum at Trinity House. The event brought together industry leaders to discuss the opportunities and challenges of Artificial Intelligence within the maritime sector.

AI has been described as both a transformative economic opportunity and a potential global risk. The Forum offered strategic insights into how the maritime industry can use AI’s potential while remaining mindful of its limitations. Attendees also learned how AI technologies are being deployed across diverse maritime applications to deliver real commercial and technical benefits. Marine AII software has numerous applications, and powers ZeroUSV's fully autonomous vessel, the Oceanus12.

The panel featured:
Sarah Kenny OBE (Chair) - CEO, BMT
Sarah Sharples FREng - Chief Scientific Adviser, Department for Transport (DfT), United Kingdom
Matthew Ratsey - Managing Director, Marine AI
Matt Franklin - Chief AI & Innovation Officer, Ancoris Google Cloud
Richard Potter - Microsoft

A huge thank you to the organisers and all the speakers for a fascinating and informative evening!
