Evans Vanodine

Evans Vanodine Evans Vanodine has been developing and manufacturing cleaning and hygiene products for over 100 years.

These products cover an extensive range of applications for the industrial, janitorial, food process and animal health sectors. Evans Vanodine was established in 1919 when William Charles Evans started manufacturing disinfectants and liquid soaps in Salford, Manchester. The company, which is still owned by the Evans family, is now based at Walton Summit, just outside Preston in Lancashire.

This week, our sales team swapped their usual routines for an afternoon in production. They put on their PPE and joined forces with the team who manufacture the products they talk about every day.

Working across different production lines, the sales team learned how our products are manufactured, filled, and prepared before reaching our customers. Along the way, they picked up a few new skills and gained a greater appreciation for everything that happens behind the scenes.

A huge thank you to our production team for sharing their knowledge, answering questions, and welcoming the sales team onto their lines. Your hard work and expertise keep Evans moving every day.

Thank you also to the sales team for getting involved and embracing the experience.

You wouldn’t expect to find a little piece of Evans just below the Arctic Circle.

Recently, our UK & Europe Professional Hygiene Sales Manager, Nicky Biggart, spent time in North Iceland with our distributor, Storkaup, meeting customers and seeing first-hand how Evans products are being used in some truly remarkable places.

She toured a new visitor attraction preparing to open this summer, overlooking Lake Mývatn. One of the highlights was visiting the low-impact, architecturally designed Hotel Laxa with its incredible panoramic views. This was then followed by dining at the Vogafjós farm-to-fork restaurant, where Evans products have been used for many years.

Looking out across the landscape, it’s easy to see why people travel from all over the world to experience this part of Iceland.

And yes, the heart-shaped traffic lights in Akureyri really do exist.

Sometimes it’s good to be reminded just how far a Lancashire-made product can travel.

25 Years Long Service Award

Today, we were proud to celebrate two members of the team who have each dedicated 25 years of service to the business.

Charlotte Carr, our Microbiology Laboratory Supervisor, and Pat Worsop, Area Sales Manager, were presented with certificates and commemorative watches in recognition of their commitment and contribution over the past quarter of a century. The celebrations included speeches from their managers and Director, Anthony Evans, reflecting on the impact both have made throughout their careers.

Their names will now take their place on our Long Service Board, joining a proud tradition that reflects the loyalty, expertise and people that continue to shape Evans Vanodine.

Congratulations Charlotte and Pat, and thank you for 25 years of dedication and hard work.
