Romsey Air Cadets take part in a wide range of activities based around Air, Space and Cyber, leadership and teamwork.

Cadets & staff from the squadron brushed up on their map reading skills today exploring the Ashley Walk bombing range. This included finding the largest craters, standing in the observation post, having lunch on top of the "Submarine Pen" and being distracted by a Spitfire fly past. At the finish whilst enjoying a much needed ice cream Cadets Martin & Poyntz-Galea received their blue DofE badges.

Some recent achievements. Cadets Moss & Man have started their classification journey by gaining their 1st Class badge whilst Cpl Kenny has been awarded his Senior Cadet badge. Meanwhile Sgts Dale & Gibbons have completed the classification process after being awarded their Master Cadet badge. Well done.

Last night cadets from the Squadron tested their strategy skills against each other by testing a new war game in development. This involved a series of movements requiring tactical skill and careful logistical planning trying to out play the other team.

Staff and cadets visited The Boscombe Down Aviation Collection at Old Sarum airfield this weekend. The cadets were able to climb in aircraft and more importantly speak to some excellent guides and volunteers whose knowledge was outstanding. We were even able to get the answer on wing warping on a BE2b.

Our annual presentation evening back in January was a massive success with many awards, certificates, trophies, promotions and a commendation or two.

Great to be able to present First Class Cadet badges to cadets McKenzie C, Martin, McKenzie D, Thomas and Gaherty. Well done all.

The Squadron was back in the gym last week. More Duke of Edinburgh ‘s award physical section and then team games. Fitness and fun all part of our programme.
