Water supplies that communities rely on. Transport links that connect people. Energy infrastructure that supports the future.

A career in infrastructure gives you the chance to see your work take shape and make a difference.

On the day, you'll have the opportunity to meet Jouel Potter, Nilu Tabraiz and Matthew Whiston, who will be happy to share their experiences, discuss career opportunities at Coffey, and answer any questions about graduate programmes, placements and starting a career in the infrastructure sector.

Whether you're looking for a graduate programme, a placement year or simply exploring your options, let's talk about where you could fit in.
Your next step could start with a conversation.

If you can't make the event but would like to learn more about opportunities with Coffey, contact our recruitment team at [email protected].

As part of our ongoing commitment to workplace safety, Coffey recently welcomed Response CPR Training, Ireland to our site in Tarbert, Co. Kerry, for an informative and practical CPR training session.

Held on Friday, 23 October, the Hands for Life Workshop provided our team with an opportunity to develop their awareness of CPR and the importance of responding effectively in a cardiac emergency.

The session formed part of our activities supporting the Construction Industry Federation (CIF) Construction Safety Campaign 2026, reinforcing this year's Back to Basics theme and the importance of equipping our teams with practical, potentially life-saving knowledge.

A special thank you to Eric Donovan from Rapid Response CPR Training for delivering the session, and to everyone who participated.

Reflecting our Coffey values of Do the Right Thing, Do It Better and Do It Together, initiatives like this demonstrate the importance of investing in our people's safety, developing practical skills and looking out for one another.

Would you know what to do if someone experienced a cardiac emergency? Taking the time to learn CPR could make a life-saving difference. Find out more about CPR training and how you can develop these essential skills: https://www.irishheart.ie/

Coffey has achieved strong results through Achilles UVDB, providing independent assessment of the standards and systems that support our delivery across the utilities and infrastructure sectors.

The UVDB Verify audit assessed key areas of our operations, including Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Quality and Sustainability. Coffey achieved a 100% Health & Safety site score and 94% Health & Safety management system score, alongside 100% scores for Environmental Management, Quality and Sustainability.

Coffey also achieved an overall score of 88/100 and a five-star rating in its first Achilles Sustainability Assessment, with strong performance across Social (96), Governance (94) and Environmental (84) criteria.

Together with Coffey’s Achilles UVDB Silver+ Supplier status, these results provide independent recognition of the standards and practices that underpin safe, responsible, high-quality and sustainable project delivery.

Achilles UVDB provides customers with an independent means of assessing and verifying suppliers. For Coffey, this strengthens the evidence we can provide to customers and supports our credentials where Achilles UVDB forms part of supplier assurance and prequalification.

Over the past two weeks, Coffey teams across Ireland have supported the Construction Industry Federation (CIF) Construction Safety Campaign 2026 and this year's theme, Back to Basics.

Our campaign activities included:

• Confined Space Presentation & Demonstration with Ashfield Safety Hire

• Fire Warden Training with Galway Fire Equipment Ltd

• A powerful awareness session with Robert Cullen on drugs, alcohol, aggression and personal responsibility

• A workplace safety and wellbeing talk from John Gaughan of The Frontline Mind

• Nutrition & Wellbeing Presentation with Jill Carolan

• Lunch & Learn sessions on Waste Management, Leading by Example and the Lighthouse Charity

While each session focused on a different aspect of workplace safety, they all shared a common message: safety is about more than procedures and compliance. It's about awareness, behaviour, communication and looking out for one another every day.

From physical safety and emergency preparedness to mental wellbeing, personal responsibility and healthy lifestyles, the campaign reinforced the importance of taking a holistic approach to creating safer workplaces.

A sincere thank you to our employees, project teams, partners and guest speakers who helped make this year's campaign a success.

When we get the basics right, we create safer workplaces for everyone.

Ireland’s transition to renewable energy requires more than ambitious targets. It depends on the expertise, collaboration and infrastructure needed to turn plans into operational projects.

In the latest edition of Energy Ireland’s Renewable Energy Magazine, John Gibbons, Energy Director at Coffey, shares his perspective on the opportunities and challenges involved in delivering Ireland’s renewable energy infrastructure.

From wind and solar farms to battery energy storage systems and associated civil works, Coffey brings the engineering expertise and project delivery experience needed to support Ireland’s evolving energy network.

As investment in renewable energy grows, effective planning, collaboration and delivery will remain central to building the infrastructure needed for Ireland’s energy future.

Safety is about more than following procedures. It’s about looking out for one another, recognising risks and making the right choices every day.

As part of the Construction Industry Federation (CIF) Construction Safety Campaign 2026, our team and project partners at Quarry Lane in Sligo welcomed John Gaughan from The Frontline Mind for an insightful session on workplace safety and wellbeing.

Drawing on almost 18 years of experience as a frontline paramedic, John shared powerful insights into the lasting impact workplace incidents can have, not only on those directly involved, but also on their families, colleagues and wider communities.

The session encouraged everyone to reflect on the pressures people may face, the importance of supporting one another and the dangers of becoming too comfortable with unsafe practices.

One message stood out:
“Just because something has become normal doesn't necessarily mean it's right, or that it's safe.”

This message captures the importance of this year’s Back to Basics theme. A safer workplace starts with awareness, open communication and a shared responsibility to challenge unsafe behaviours.

A sincere thank you to John for sharing his experiences and reminding us that safety is more than a policy. It’s personal.

Developing the next generation of talent is essential to the future of the infrastructure sector.

Over recent weeks, the Coffey team has attended the Loughborough University Careers Fair and The Big Boost for Derby Careers Fair, meeting students interested in careers in civil engineering, construction, project management and environmental services.

It was encouraging to see the level of interest and ambition among students, many of whom were keen to understand how their skills could contribute to projects that make a difference to communities.

As demand for infrastructure continues to grow, so too does the need to attract and develop skilled professionals who will help shape the industry in the years ahead.

For Coffey, attending careers fairs is an opportunity to connect with future talent, share our experience and give students a better understanding of the career opportunities available across the sector.

We're looking forward to continuing these conversations at our upcoming events:
• Nottingham Trent University Careers Fair - 26 October
• University of Wolverhampton Careers Fair - 5 November

If you're attending either event, come along and meet the Coffey team to learn more about the opportunities available and what it's like to work in the infrastructure sector.
