As part our reorganisation plans, we are delighted to confirm 2 promotions within the business.

Firstly, Victoria Plank has been appointed as Major Projects Coordinator with immediate effect. Tor’s role will be to implement a streamlined and consistent approach to Project delivery across the company. She will support our Project Mangers to ensure our larger works are delivered on time, in budget and in a fully compliant fashion. Given the sites on which we operate this is a vital appointment and we have full confidence in Tor’s ability to deliver what we need.

The directors are also pleased to announce that Paddy Rynne will be taking a newly created role within the Mechanical Team. Paddy will be our Mechanical Project Manager acting as a deputy to the department director. He will also be coordinating various projects, support engineers with site set-up and supervision and overseeing resourcing and materials. Over the coming weeks Paddy is combining his new role with the training of our new Procurement Manager.

On behalf of Kris and the directors, many congratulations to both Tor and Paddy on their fully deserved promotions and we wish them every success going forward.

We feel truly blessed that Quinns has been able to expand and grow over the last few years which is down to the hard work of our staff, the loyalty of the client base and unwavering support from various partners. ✨

Given this trajectory, the directors have worked on changing the company organisational structure and have recruited for specific roles within the business. We have also reassessed the premises needs going forward and revisited our vehicle requirements. 🏢🚐

Despite the experience of the Management Team, we are always open to advice and assistance especially when entering the realms of moving the company forward. To this end we are engaging with external consultants to help us negotiate the next steps. 🤝

Watch this space over the coming weeks and as we share these changes and once again reiterate that we never take our stakeholders for granted and remain committed to providing a quality and compliant service.

This Mental Health Awareness Week , we’re reminded that not all struggles are visible.

At Quinns, we recognise that mental wellbeing is just as important as physical health. That’s why we’ve implemented a range of support tools and benefits - not only for our employees but for their families too.

We ensure these tools and confidential helplines are available to support mental wellbeing, and our team are regularly reminded of these resources.

Two of our Management Team will also be attending a seminar presented by our HR Partner to ensure we keep fully informed of any changes in how we approach this vital issue.

But beyond policies and platforms, our Managing Director, Kris, is unwavering in his support of his employees both in and outside of the workplace. He is especially supportive of those who need extended time away from work, doing all he can to ease the load on employees and their families during challenging times.

More than anything, we look out for one another.

We need to remember that whilst our staff are working on site they are out of sight and so we owe it to them to check in regularly and communicate effectively.

Following his escapades last September, our colleague Leon Taylor is not resting on his laurels and is taking on a new extraordinary challenge...

In mid-May, Leon will be doing a 100-mile ultra-marathon in Snowdonia with over 10,000 metres of elevation- the equivalent of climbing Everest whilst covering 100 miles! All this will be done in 48 hours!! 🥵😵

Leon is putting himself through this to raise money for a Mental Health organisation called The Brave and Determined Charity. ❤️

With the start of our financial year in April and with the imminent Easter break, Quinns would like to express our ongoing gratitude to all our clients and stakeholders.

Our aim is to continue to provide employment and offer a wide range of services in the local area and we are proud to have taken on a further 9 new employees in the last 12 months. 🥳

Our Major Projects Team is now well established and enabled us to secure some multi-disciplined contracts which were previously out of reach. 💪
We continue to grow our Construction Team and retain our Renewables offering. ♻️
We count ourselves extremely fortunate that our core M & E business continues to remain busy which is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our engineers.

It is fair to say that UK SME’ continue to face challenging times due to policy changes and what is going on in the wider world. We just hope that the quality and integrity of our work ensures we will continue to support the UK Defence sector as well as expanding our horizons with a measured approach.

Here at Quinns, as we come to the end of another Financial Year, we are delighted that our growth trajectory has continued and it’s all thanks to the hard work of our team, the support of our amazing clients, as well as some fantastic partners behind the scenes.
With that in mind, we wanted to give a special shoutout to a few key partners who have provided expert guidance and support to the business as we negotiate our future plans.

We’re privileged to work on several Armed Forces sites, thanks to the ongoing trust of our main contractors. In return, we strive to deliver high-quality, compliant services and maintain strong accreditation's to meet the highest standards.

Over the past few years, we've nearly doubled our workforce, hiring top engineers and training local apprentices from school leavers to fully qualified professionals 👷‍♂️
