Last Friday we celebrated GC's 10 years of milestones - 10 years, one mission, extraordinary progress.

We brought together our investors, partners, and friends to celebrate a decade of Graphene Composites - and what a journey it's been.

From our first crowdfunding round and technology partnership with CPI in 2016, to our first GC Shield prototype and patent application in 2017. From opening GC Labs and pivoting during COVID to develop GC Halo anti-pathogen air filters in 2020, to NIJ certifications and ASTM verification for GC Shields, and numerous patents granted on both sides of the Atlantic.

We've launched products, expanded into the US, partnered in UAE, worked with U.S. Army DEVCOM, joined North East Regional Defence and Security Cluster, NORDSEC - Nordic Defence and Security Cluster and MissionLink UK - and welcomed Lord John Eatwell to the GC family in 2025.

And 2026? GC Labs is expanding, GC Shield sales are growing, GC Thermo-Flo trials are underway, and GC Halo is pushing deeper into SE Asia.

None of this happens without the people in the room last week - and the many more who've believed in us along the way. Standard ballistic testing asks whether materials can stop one bullet. ASTM E3347-25 asks whether a complete shield holds after multiple rounds concentrate in the same zone.

It's a more demanding question, and one that gets closer to the real materials science challenge of ballistic protection under operational conditions.

Most people don't think about what happens to a ballistic shield sitting in a patrol vehicle through a Minnesota winter, or a Phoenix Summer.

The materials inside those shields respond to temperature and until recently, certification standards didn't require testing to account for it.

ASTM E3347-25 changes that. Shields have to go through extreme environmental conditioning for heat, cold, and water immersion before ballistic testing is undertaken - because real-world performance and laboratory performance aren't always the same thing.

Our innovative advanced materials technology used in GC Patrol Shield, was the first rifle-rated shield to pass third-party verification under this standard.

We’re proud to be showcasing our latest innovations in ballistic and blast protection at the Norwegian Defence Pavilion – stand 10.0-117.

A major highlight is our flagship GC Patrol Shield, the only rifle shield to pass the rigorous new ASTM E3347-25 standard for law enforcement ballistic shields — setting a groundbreaking new benchmark for officer protection and ballistic shield performance. Alongside it, the GC RF2 Shield continues to draw strong interest for its advanced protection capabilities and operational performance.

The ASTM E3347-25 standard (Standard Specification for Ballistic-Resistant Shields Used by Law Enforcement Officers) requires third-party verification for edge-shot protection and real-world durability, setting high industry expectations for Law Enforcement safety.

The ability of our Patrol Shield to absorb higher-calibre rounds in adverse conditions while retaining integrity, provides law enforcement agencies with independently verified assurance that it will perform when needed most. We are incredibly proud of this achievement.
