Workshop Operative

General assembly of all types of industrial doors, roller shutters and high speed doors

Immediate start required 40 hours per week, with flexible overtime when required

Applicants must be willing to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team

Rates of pay negotiable depending on experience and age

Experience is beneficial, but not essential as full training will be provided

Industrial Door Planner / Service Coordinator
Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
• Communicate with our engineers and customers to organise and schedule service and installation work
• Plan and allocate daily work for engineers attending customer sites.
• Coordinate emergency call-outs and responsive maintenance work.
• Book and organise transport and delivery of parts and equipment to job locations.
• Liaise with customers by telephone to confirm appointments, provide updates, and ensure a high level of customer service.
• Use of our internal CRM system to manage job scheduling and track engineer activity.
• Maintain accurate records of jobs, schedules, and customer information.
• Work closely with internal departments such as service, logistics and management to ensure smooth operation.
• Operate in a fast-paced environment, prioritising urgent work and maintaining efficient job planning.
Skills & Requirements:
• Good communication skills and confidence speaking with customers on the telephone.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well with engineers and internal teams.
• Experience with scheduling or planning is beneficial but not essential.
Training:
• Full training will be provided.

Due to continued growth & maternity leave cover, we have another full time position to fill for a Service & Repair Administrator located at our new offices in Darwen, BB3 0RP.

Responsibilities will include:
• Processing orders through our CRM system.
• Co-ordinating & scheduling engineers
• Responding to customer emails and phone calls in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
• Taking new enquiries & sending quotations to retail customers.
• Making outbound calls & following up on quotations sent to customers.
• IT literate, with knowledge of Microsoft programmes.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
40 hours per week
Mon - Fri
8:00am - 4:30pm
Salary - Based on experience.
