📢 Exciting Update: Some Gyvlon Screeds are Turning Blue! 🔷

We listened to the flooring industry, and we are delivering. Anhydritec UK are proud to announce that our most trusted, fast-drying, early-to-cover screeds: ECO® FD E2C and XTR® FD E2C® will now feature a distinctive blue pigment.
As the premier choice for fast-track construction, these products continue to offer the rapid drying times, early floor-covering capabilities, and effortless application you expect from the Gyvlon range.

🔎 Why Blue?

This visual update is part of our ongoing strategy to colour-code our advanced screed formulations. By making these specific screeds instantly recognizable on-site, we help follow-on trades:

☑️ Identify the exact substrate they are working on.
☑️Select the correct priming and adhesive solutions.
☑️Prevent costly site mistakes and avoidable remedial works.

Now Rolling Out

The new blue ECO FD E2C and XTR FD E2C are available now through Anhydritec UK’s extensive network of partner concrete plants and approved screed installers across the UK. Watch the video to see the new blue ECO FD E2C in action and find out more about the changes here: https://lnkd.in/eqYxF87d

The brief was simple on a recent residential refurbishment project we did in Warwickshire: this floor has to take a beating and ask for more.
With the help of supplying partner Flowmix, our strongest screed - XTR -helped transform a redundant barn space into a family gym and entertainment room. XTR is a high-strength, heavy-duty screed engineered to handle:
🏋️ Dynamic point loads from free weights and equipment
🤸 Repeated impact from training and movement
📐 A dead-flat, level base for accurate flooring finishes on top
🔧 Long-term durability with zero cracking or settlement
It's easy to overlook what lies hidden under the fun stuff - the pool table, the workout equipment, the mirrors. But they stop being fun if the floor can't take the load.
Strong feet need a stronger foundation. Thanks to XTR, this one's built to last. Find out more about our most robust screed here: https://lnkd.in/ehpw9j_b

The most important layers of a building are often the ones you stop seeing once the job is complete.
These images show our ECO liquid screed being poured by Surrey Flow Screed Ltd. across an underfloor heating installation system before the final floor covering goes down. Once the carpet, tiles or timber is laid, the screed disappears from view, but its job is far from over.
A quality screed helps create a flat, stable base for the floor covering, while supporting effective heat transfer and moisture management for the life of the building. That matters because what's happening within the floor build-up is not always immediately visible. Screed choice is especially important when it comes to underfloor heating (UFH), as some screeds - such as our calcium sulphate-based range - can amplify the diffusion of heat across the floor, whilst cement-based screeds are naturally cold and dense, slowing down heat transference across an UFH-heated floor and amounting to substandard performance and higher energy bills for end users. Over time, an unsuitable or poorly specified screed can affect the durability, comfort and performance of the finished floor.
Anhydritec's calcium sulphate liquid screed is designed as a self-levelling, dimensionally stable screed, helping to reduce shrinkage and cracking while supporting efficient underfloor heating performance when installed correctly as part of the floor system.
For architects and specifiers, getting the screed build-up right at the detailing stage also helps avoid costly issues further down the line, with technical support available to work through project-specific drawings and queries before they become on-site problems.

Did you know that unlike cementitious materials, our calcium sulphate screeds don't set and dry faster in elevated temperatures? In fact, excessively high temperatures may adversely affect curing performance and delay screed setting. If you are a , here some brief tips on what to do and not do when temperatures outside soar above 20°C. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the UZIN UTZ team in the UK, who hosted our training session at their state-of-the-art Training Campus at Stafford Technology Park.
Together, we presented to our joint partner Heidelberg Materials UK a balanced and objective overview of the key considerations involved in floor preparation and installation.
We look forward to continuing our collaboration to raise industry awareness about best practice in installing long-lasting floors in combination with anhydrite screeds. We believe that this is the path forward, if we want to elevate our standards and deliver high-quality outcomes across the industry. Watch the video from the day to find out more.
