When the big bit turns up… 🚨💪

21 seconds of organised chaos as the glulam ridge beam gets craned into place on our timber-framed SIP extension at The 1803 Project.

Big lift ✔️
Tight tolerances ✔️
Lots of pointing and “left a bit… no, MY left” ✔️

This is one of those moments where the whole build suddenly feels real — everything locks together and the extension starts to show its shape.

Huge shoutout to the crane driver for making it look easier than it actually is 👏

🔥 Great progress on this timber frame extension! 🔨

The structure is up and really starting to take shape. The timber frame is now complete, first fix electrics are in, the property is in the dry with the standing seam roof and walls well underway.

We’re now fully plaster-boarding and getting everything ready for the plasterer — always a satisfying stage where the space truly starts to feel like a home.

Huge credit to the team for keeping quality and momentum high on site 👏
