Savannah Construction is looking for a Quantity Surveyor (Junior - Senior) to join our Cambridge team working on commercial projects across the Waikato.

What you will be doing:
• Pricing, cost planning and take-offs for our projects
• Managing variations and progress claims
• Tracking costs against budget and helping improve our systems
• Working closely with our site and office teams from tender through to final account

What we are looking for:
• Experience in the New Zealand construction industry (main contractor or subcontractor)
• A Quantity Surveying or construction qualification.
• Confidence with numbers, contracts and talking to suppliers and clients
• Good Excel and general computer skills
• Procore experience is a bonus

Role Details:
• Location: Cambridge, with occasional site visits to projects across the Waikato
• Employment type: Full Time
• Pay: $50,000 - $100,000

Savannah Construction is a family-run commercial builder delivering large scale commercial projects across the Waikato. With a strong two-year pipeline in Hamilton and Cambridge, we’re hiring an experienced Project Manager with experience in carpentry to lead start to finish delivery on multi-million-dollar commercial jobs

What you’ll do:
• Lead projects from award to defects close-out: programme, procurement, delivery, and handover
• Own time/cost/quality: build and manage programmes, track budgets, approve/forecast costs, and drive QA
• Procure and manage subcontractors and suppliers; negotiate scope, let packages, and run site coordination
• Front-foot client and consultant comms; chair meetings, issue minutes, and keep RFIs/variations tidy
• Champion H&S and site compliance; lead with practical, worker-led safety
• Mentor Site Managers/Engineers; lift planning discipline and production on site
• Use digital tools (Procore / Excel / MS) to keep everything visible and moving

What you’ll bring:
• 10+ years’ commercial construction experience with 3+ years as a PM in NZ (or similar market)
• Proven delivery of complex commercial projects (interiors or vertical build)
• Sharp commercial acumen: scopes, contracts, RFIs, EOTs, and variations
• Strong programming and short-interval planning; you can recover a slipping programme without drama
• Credibility on site: you read drawings, spot buildability issues, and unblock teams fast
• Excellent stakeholder skills—calm, direct, and solutions-focused
• Experience with Procore is highly valued
