The question we get asked most often? 🤔

“How do I know if my spouting actually needs replacing or if it just needs a clean?”

Honest answer — sometimes a clean is all it needs. We will always tell you that if it’s true.

But here are the signs that tell us a clean won’t fix it:

The spouting is sagging or pulling away from the fascia. That is a structural issue, not a debris issue.

There are rust spots or holes appearing. Once corrosion starts on sectional spouting it spreads fast.

The joins are leaking. You can reseal them but it is a temporary fix and you will be back up the ladder again next season.

Water is staining or rotting the fascia behind the spouting. That means it has been leaking for a while and the damage is already done.

If the storms we have had lately have taught us anything, it is that your rainwater system either works or it does not. There is no in between. ⛈️

We have had a few calls this week from homeowners who found out the hard way.

Water over the fascia. Pooling at the foundations. Downpipes that simply could not handle the volume coming off the roof.
