Established in 2017, Bullitt Fabrications is a leading supplier in general and custom engineering and fabrication, structural steel fabrication and installation, and seismic strengthening. Due to ongoing business growth and development, we are looking for an experienced Structural Fabricator to join the team. Bullitt Fabrications is located locally here in New Plymouth; you will be working within a busy workshop environment plus leading site work which you will be remunerated for.

We provide custom and general fabrication with all metal types, machining, welding, and mechanical services. Servicing the Taranaki Region, you will be an integral team member joining an established ten-member team. The company is currently experiencing massive demand due to the quality and delivery of their services.

We work 80 hours per fortnight which matches our pay run, this is completed over 9 days:
Week 1
Monday-Thursday: 6:30AM – 4:00PM, 2 x half hour breaks, 9 hours
Friday 6:30AM – 3:00PM, 2 x half hour breaks, 8 hours
44 hours for the week

Week 2
Monday-Thursday: 6:30AM – 4:00PM, 2 x half hour breaks, 9 hours
Friday RDO, (rostered day off)
36 hours for the week giving 80 hours for the fortnight.
Overtime is applied after 80 hours for the fortnight.

Reporting directly to our Operations Manager, your role will include but not be limited to:

Site measuring and confirmation of drawings and details
Site installs
QA
All fabrication and welding as required.
Ensuring the workshop and workspaces are kept tidy
To be considered for this role, you will need:

Previous site installation experience preferably with a leadership aspect
To be well-spoken and well-presented in yourself and your workmanship
An experienced and solid background in construction and engineering
Be able to read and interpret engineering and architectural plans in conjunction with shop drawings
Enjoy taking responsibility, pride in your skill and seeing a task or job through ensuring top quality work through to completion as to our client's requirements.

Beauty day for the install of the Pick-up Canopy as part of the Woolworths the Valley, Online Shopping Upgrade by main contractor Modcon Projects.

When I got to site, our install team, lead by Clint with Ben and Graham were just installing the first Curved Rafter. Modcon Projects Manager, Darren Hellyer greeted me and with genuine praise only had good things to say about the Bullitt Fabrications team. To quote Darren, ‘great team who go over and beyond, very helpful, easy to work with, Clint as Managing Director is very approachable, hands on, great problem solving and technical ability, 100% outstanding job, 5-Stars and hands down Craig (Bullitt’s Operations Manager) exceptionally helpful, responsive, great to work with’.

Final piece of the puzzle going in @ Destination Kawaroa, this shade structure will provide shade from the awesome Taranaki sun whilst enjoying this epic location, Dobsons Canvas will supply the finishing touch with the shade sail and its done. Strengthening Taranaki with precision steel fabrication 🤛💪

Bullitt is proud to be sponsoring the New Plymouth Operatic Society upcoming show Chicago - and last night at the cast reveal, we found out we’re backing the amazing Hana Klenner, who’s part of the Ensemble.

This is our second time sponsoring an NPOS show - the first was Phantom of the Opera, which we got involved with because Clint’s sister Ange was in it (and it was our late mum’s favourite musical 🖤). Safe to say we’re hooked now.

It’s such a great way to support the awesome local talent we’ve got here in Taranaki. Can’t wait to see the show! 🎭

She may have officially joined Bullitt last year, but it’s about time we introduced the woman quietly keeping everything running like clockwork: Denise Mackle, our Office Manager.

Denise brings a wealth of experience and a whole lot of heart to the role. Her career spans retail, hospitality, healthcare, government and construction. From jewellery counters and dairy farms to managing boutique hotels and leading administration for Methanex NZ and Work and Income - there’s not much she hasn’t seen or handled.

Since 2018, she’s focused on the construction industry, specialising in health and safety, HR, compliance, and ISO accreditation. One of her proudest achievements? Securing SiteWise Gold certification for Bullitt - a reflection of our team’s commitment to safety and quality.

At Bullitt, Denise is the quiet force behind the scenes - balancing the books, fine-tuning systems, and supporting the team with care, clarity and consistency. She values the trust, transparency and mutual respect that defines life here at Bullitt -and we’re incredibly grateful to have her on board 🖤

Strengthening the heart of the city 🖤💪

We’ve just wrapped up seismic strengthening work on this commercial building in the CBD - a project that’s all about future-proofing, safety and smart investment.

It’s been a great collaboration with the property owners...

Working together to reinforce the building while keeping the project running smoothly from start to finish to get it ready for new tenants.

The new tenants are already in and enjoying their new premises!

We’re stoked to officially introduce Craig Treanor, our Operations Manager!

Though he’s no stranger around here, having joined us late last year.

Craig is the engine behind Bullitt’s operations. With over 30 years of experience in engineering and manufacturing, he brings a seriously sharp, solutions-focused mindset to everything we do. From structural builds to seismic upgrades, Craig’s been hands-on with some of NZ’s biggest projects, and we’re lucky to have him leading the charge.

At Bullitt, Craig works closely with Clint to keep everything humming—from operations and project delivery to team support and quality standards.

But what really makes Craig a great fit? He values what we value: no egos, no BS—just good people doing great work.

Outside of work, you’ll find Craig on a mountain bike trail (he helped build the original ones at Lake Mangamahoe), fixing up bikes, or out in Purangi living the good life.
