Southpac Trucks Ltd imports DAF and Kenworth trucks manufactured by PACCAR in the Netherlands and Australia, the majority shareholder is The Colonial Motor Company Ltd, Wellington (CMC), who has been involved in the importation and retailing of Ford products since 1908. Southpac operates from eight locations, Manukau City, Hamilton, Rotorua, Gisborne, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Christchurch a

nd Timaru. Southpac supports its customers via the TRP Parts and Service Dealer Network. Southpac parts distribution business is to support DAF and Kenworth customers along with a variety of TRP truck and trailer parts to enable the highest operating uptime at the lowest possible cost.

A big congratulations to Waharoa transport on the purchase of this stunning new Kenworth T620.

Heading to Mt Maunganui, this truck will be driven by Will Maihi, contracting to GCM Feeds and hauling stock feed across the Central North Island.

Built for reliability, performance, and driver comfort, the T620 is powered by a Cummins Euro 6 X15 producing 625hp, backed by an Eaton 18-speed manual transmission and Meritor rear axles with full cross locks, this truck is ready to get straight to work.

A special thank you to Transfleet for the truck bin and trailer build, and Caulfield Signs for the finishing touches.

Six new 8x4 Kenworth T659s have joined Qube’s forestry operation, with Southpac salesperson Adam McIntosh joining the team for the handover.

The 8x4 T659 was developed specifically for this demanding application, and Qube now owns 85 of these trucks. Built for rugged terrain and heavy loads, the model has become especially popular in the Gisborne region, where these trucks are a familiar sight carrying logs to Gisborne Port for export.

Qube is also a major employer in Gisborne, and we recognise the valuable role its people play in the local community and in supporting an industry that contributes so much to New Zealand.

Thank you to the Qube team for their continued trust and support. We look forward to seeing the six new trucks get to work.

The third New Generation DAF truck has hit New Zealand roads, proudly wearing J Swap colours.

Set up for everything from bulk aggregate to grain cartage across the Waikato, the new DAF XF joins a professional, hard-working fleet where presentation, efficiency and reliability all matter.

The DAF XF is a great fit for the operation, with a spacious, comfortable cab, strong road presence and a specification well suited to long days on the road.
