𝗞𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘃𝗶𝗯𝗲𝘀, 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱!

The School of Engineering and Architecture officially begins the First Semester of the Academic Year 2026 - 2027 with a proactive faculty meeting and onboarding session.

The session began with an orientation to GradeChum from their CEO, Mr. Jemar Jude Maranga. GradeChum is an innovative tool designed to aid instructors in their daily work by automating the checking and grading of activities, assignments, and quizzes. The faculty members positively participated in the guided walk-through and shared feedback on the newly introduced tool. The session was then followed by a faculty meeting in which they discussed updates, plans, and the semester's faculty load.

With teamwork and collaboration, the School of Engineering and Architecture looks forward to a productive and successful semester ahead.

Day 2 | 𝙎𝙀𝘼 𝙎𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙧 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝 𝙒𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙥 2026

The second and last day of 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 at 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲–𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗼𝘀, 𝗢𝗹𝗱 𝗟𝗮𝘄 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 , 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗿, 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘀 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 through the 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆, 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 (𝗖𝗣𝗥𝗗𝗦) was a blast!

After the participants presented their research paper to the CPRDS mentors, they were given insightful feedback and practical writing tips on how to prepare for the publication of their manuscripts. The two-day writeshop was ended by the closing remarks of 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗔𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗱𝗼, 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗣𝗥𝗗𝗦, emphasizing the University’s commitment in fostering research, innovation, and academic excellence.

With their newly acquired skills, participants feel better prepared to work on their research endeavors towards eventual publication.

𝘿𝙖𝙮 𝟭 | 𝙎𝙀𝘼 𝙎𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙧 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝 𝙒𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙥 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The faculty members of the USJ-R School of Engineering and Architecture attended the first day of the two-day SEA Summer Research Writeshop 2026, facilitated by the 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲, 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬 (𝐂𝐏𝐑𝐃𝐒) through 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐀𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐝𝐨, 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐲 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐩. The writeshop was held at the University of San Jose–Recoletos, Old Law Library, 3rd Floor, San Nicolas Building.

The program began with an opening prayer followed by a welcome message from Dr. Dennis Anthony Kilongkilong, setting the tone for an inspiring and productive learning session.

Throughout the day, the participants learned how to transform their research reports into publishable journal articles with the guidance of the CPRDS facilitators. The sessions also encouraged collaboration, continuous learning, and the development of high-quality, publication-ready research.

Day 1 marked the beginning of a meaningful journey toward research excellence, innovation, and academic growth.

The School of Engineering and Architecture faculty and staff stepped out of the classroom for an educational tour at International Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (IPI) in Mandaue City on July 24, 2026

The group got an insider look at real-world industrial operations, exploring the manufacturing processes for liniment oils (Production 1) and soaps (Production 2), along with the inner workings of IPI’s Engineering Department and support systems.

To wrap up a productive day, the group visited the National Museum of Cebu to immerse themselves in the rich history and heritage of the region. A perfect blend of technical learning and cultural appreciation! 🏛️✨
