Seventeen years ago today, we lost our founder, Gabe Greene.
Although he passed away in 2009, Gabe’s impact is still felt every single day at G. Greene Construction.
In 1966, Gabe had a big decision to make. He could become a Harvard police officer—or he could take a chance and start his own construction company as a carpenter by trade, with nothing but his tools, skill, and a strong work ethic.
He chose to build something of his own.
That choice became G. Greene Construction.
This year, as we celebrate 60 years in business, we reflect on the man who started it all. From the jobs we take on to the way we treat people, Gabe’s values are still at the core of who we are—work hard, be honest, and take pride in what you do.
This photo captures Gabe doing what he loved, fishing alongside his granddaughter, Shelby. It’s a reminder that his legacy lives on not just through this company, but through his family, his values, and the generations that follow.
We know without a doubt—Gabe would be proud.
Proud of the company, proud of the people, and proud that what he started continues to grow.
Thank you, Gabe, for taking that leap in 1966.
You built more than a company—you built a legacy.
Forever remembered. Always building forward.
