The BearTecs had an amazing time at Unchartered Adventures with a team building day and a celebration of our successful season. The day was full of Rage Rooms, Escape Rooms, Axe Throwing, Splatter Paint Rooms, and Zombie Air Soft games. It was a great time!
Boy do these kids know how to destroy a car!
Highly recommend Unchartered Adventures in Kyle, Tx for a great day of entertainment and a different experience that the whole team will love!

The BearTecs had a great awards ceremony this week. There were lots of celebrations, memories and honors.
What a fabulous group of kids!
AND amazing mentors, parents and families! We could not do this without all of you! THANK YOU for a great year!

Throughout the year, we always try to give the BearTecs experiences- not just with robots but with all kinds of things.
After our competition in San Antonio, we took the team to the Magic Time Machine. So much fun!

The BearTecs had a great time at the Riverside Middle School Math and Science Night! The team members gave lots of chairbot rides and talked with younger students about STEM and robotics.
A great night and a great event!

The BearTecs had an exciting competition in San Antonio!
The team ended in 5th place out of 37 teams, which was great! But even better... the team was awarded the Imagery Award!
The BearTecs have never won this award before, and it is a huge accomplishment that we are super proud of!
Note: The Imagery Award is in honor of Jack Kamen for his dedication to art, illustration, and his devotion to FIRST. This award celebrates attractiveness in engineering and outstanding aesthetic integration of machine and team appearance.
The judges had this to say about the BearTecs:
"Judges had to pause at this pit. Something about the display made them stop and look again. Strong colors. Clear design across the station. The design showed pride and a clear identity. There was so much to take in that the judges couldn't 'BEAR' to leave."
The BearTecs are sending a HUGE shout out and thank you for everyone’s support this season! It has been a great season! (We’re still working! 😉)
And it’s a great day to be a bear!

The BearTecs had a successful weekend at our first competition in Belton! The team finished 3rd place out of 33 teams. Thank you to our parents who came out to see us, to our teachers and mentors who helped us, and to all FIRST teams at the event! A special shout out to Tigertrons 5503 in Smithville for your 1st place win! Proud of you!
On to San Antonio in 4 days!
