The Project Manager/Estimator Position
The Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for managing all aspects of a project including but not limited to, reviewing and submitting competitive bids, coordinating material take off, managing project budget and schedule, RFIs, etc., all the way through to project close out. This position is responsible for overall project success with the support from a financially strong and well-established Company.

The ideal candidate will need to be familiar with job costing, P&L statements, receivables & cashflow to complete projects on time and under budget. This position will also be expected to provide and accept feedback, welcome and adapt to change and challenge the status quo.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities of the Project Manager/Estimator
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field is required
• 5+ years of Construction Project Management and/or Estimating is required
• Advanced experience with Excel, Microsoft Suite, and Foundation Software is preferred
• Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills are required

Ideal candidates will also have experience loading and hauling heavy equipment/other flatbed experience. This is generally seasonal work; typically March through Christmas. Year-round work is available as well depending on weather conditions and work load. We have good equipment - trucks are 2015 or newer and well maintained! All drivers are home every night. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of our fleet which includes heavy machinery for excavation and grading, class 8 gravel trains, industrial equipment, and smaller commercial vehicles.

This is a full time position located at our shop at 7644 Whitmore Lake Rd, Brighton.

Requirements:
Must have complete set of tools;
Experience servicing and repairing diesel trucks and heavy equipment (foreign and domestic);
State of Michigan Truck Certification;
Qualified to perform yearly DOT vehicle inspections;
Experience using computer diagnostic tools to diagnose and repair trucks and equipment including all electronic and emission systems;
Able to diagnose problems and complete repairs in the field if necessary;
Experience troubleshooting and rebuilding hydraulic components;
Experience with undercarriage work on tracked equipment;
Work with existing vendors and develop new vendors to secure the most cost-effective parts and supplies;
Fabricate custom parts or modifications using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools;
Troubleshoot electrical systems within heavy equipment and vehicles, ensuring proper wiring, sensors, and control modules are functioning correctly.
Perform tire service, brake repairs, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning) maintenance, and general vehicle upkeep to maximize operational uptime.
Operate heavy equipment and drive trucks safely during maintenance procedures or testing;
Maintain detailed service records for all repairs performed and communicate effectively with team members;
Available to work overtime including weekends;
Ideal Candidates will also have:
Class A CDL with Doubles Endorsement
Engine and transmission rebuild experience.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to withstand repeated bending, stooping, reaching, crawling, standing and twisting motions.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without the use of equipment.

This position is responsible for assembling, connecting, and constructing pipe systems for storm or sanitary sewers, drains, and water mains. Must know and practice safe work methods.

Primary Responsibilities (may include, but not limited to the following):
• Hand dig to expose existing pipe or utilities (gas, water, sewer, electric, etc.) in trench area
• Guide excavator operator in trench excavation
• Hand shape trench bottom to accommodate pipe installation
• Hand shape pipe bedding for proper elevation and alignment
• Shovel or dig around pipe and/or utilities (gas, water, sewer, electric) in the trench
• Inspect pipe to insure proper jointing can be achieved
• Install pipes for sanitary and storm sewer, water mains and other related piping at the correct elevation and alignment and leak free
• Verify installation using lasers and/or levels and grade rods
• Make pipe connections to manholes, chambers, etc.
• Connect active or inactive water and sewer lines, install fittings, etc.
• Drill holes into pipes or structures for additional lines
• Install or repair sanitary or storm sewer structures or pipe systems
• Compact fill below, around and above pipe installations
• Knowledge of confined spaces entry/exit requirements
• Must adhere to safety procedures
• Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as required

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
• This position will include mostly outdoor work environments and work in all weather conditions.
• Kneeling, crouching, bending, stooping, lifting and reaching in a ditch while installing/connecting water or sewer pipe
• Climb up and down a ladder or other means of egress from the trench, walk on uneven ground
• Push and pull pipes together with pipe bar, 120 lbs force may be required
• Must be able to use power and manual hand tools such as vibratory compactors, air hammers, shovels, etc.
