Costumes, candy, and time with family. 🎃🧡

Halloween is a fun reminder of why I started this company five years ago: to provide for my family and build a construction company our community could count on.

Every customer who has trusted us and every neighbor who has recommended Gertz FenceWorks has helped turn that goal into something I’m proud to keep building. I’m grateful for the support and the families we’ve gotten to know along the way.

Watching the kids enjoy the little things brings it all back home. Working hard, being there for our families, and showing up for the people who count on us—that’s what it’s all about.

Hope your family had a safe, fun Halloween with plenty of treats and a few good memories! 👻🍬

Alright, I've gotta hear what you guys think about this one! 👀

Came across this fence design using wood framing and corrugated steel panels instead of traditional wood pickets.

Not our work, but it's definitely something we could see ourselves building!

Personally, I think it's a pretty cool look. Something a little different from your everyday privacy fence.

What do you think? Would you put something like this in your backyard, or is it a little too outside the box? 😂

Ever wonder why some wooden gates start sagging or won't latch properly after a few years? 🤔

Sometimes it comes down to how the gate was built in the first place!

Here's something most homeowners probably don't know:

🔨 Wood compression braces help support the weight of a wooden gate and keep it from sagging.

🔩 Steel tension cables work differently. They're commonly used with rigid, welded steel or aluminum gate frames.

Put the wrong bracing system on a wooden gate, and you can end up twisting the frame, throwing the latch out of alignment, and eventually having a gate that doesn't work properly.

It's one of those little details that makes a big difference down the road.

Quality Fencing. Built Right.

A little behind-the-scenes action from one of our fence installs! 🔨

Everybody loves seeing the finished product, but there’s quite a bit of work that goes into getting there!

Setting posts, laying everything out, and making sure things are done right.

Most days the crew will move well over 2000lbs of concrete by hand!

Sending thanks to our hard working crew, helping the community one fence at a time.

Ever wonder what all those little pieces on a chain-link fence actually do? 🔩

Probably not. 😂 But we think about this stuff every day!

Tension bands, brace bands, rail ends, fence ties… there’s quite a bit more to putting up a chain-link fence than just stretching some wire between posts.

Might not be the most exciting stuff in the world, but overlooking these details could cost you twice…

Here's one you don't see every day! 👀

We recently finished up this black composite privacy fence over in Troy, Illinois.

If you like the look of a wood privacy fence but aren't too excited about staining it every few years, composite might be worth looking into.

And I've gotta say, that black turned out pretty sharp! 👌

What do you think? Would you go with black in your backyard?

Who says treated pine can’t look good 🌲👌

A beautiful wood privacy fence finished with Ready Seal’s Natural Cedar stain.

The stain brings out the character of the wood while helping protect it from the elements.

A little maintenance goes a long way toward keeping a wood fence looking great! 🏡

One of the best reasons to have a fenced-in backyard? 🐕💨

THIS. 😂

A lot of our customers are dog owners, and we completely understand why having a secure yard matters.

Room to run, play, and get those zoomies out!

We love dogs. We love fences. It’s a pretty good combination. 🐾❤️

Protecting the things that keep businesses running. 🔐💪

We recently wrapped up an interior security fence project for White Cap in Collinsville!

8-foot black chain-link fencing with a large cantilever gate, designed to help keep their valuable tools and equipment secure.

We appreciate the opportunity to work with another local business! 🤝

Quality fencing. Built right.

Sometimes the best fence is the one that doesn’t hide the view. 👌

Black aluminum provides security and definition while keeping the property feeling open.

Clean. Simple. Timeless.
