Movement data breaks down when capture systems operate in isolation. Fragmented tools create inconsistencies in protocols, timing, and data structure, limiting comparability across sessions, users, and sites.

A coordinated workflow aligns treadmill control, force measurement, and data capture into a single system.

This creates consistent, repeatable protocols and datasets that can be trusted beyond a single session or operator.

Researchers and advanced users benefit from reduced setup and cleaner data, and organizations gain a foundation for standardization, longitudinal tracking, and system level decision making.

It's National Baseball Day, and we're looking at the part of the pitch most people never see.

Peak braking force at foot plant. Mediolateral forces through arm acceleration. Knee flexion angle at release. These are not visible to the naked eye, but they are among the strongest indicators of pitch velocity and mechanical efficiency.

Force plate data does not replace coaching. It gives coaches something more precise to work with for better decisions.

Movement often appears symmetrical until it is measured.

Objective data reveals differences in timing, loading, and control that are not visible to the eye. These differences are often where risk, incomplete recovery, or performance gaps exist. Measurement does not replace clinical expertise. The goal is not to replace observation, It gives you a more consistent basis for applying it.

Controlling cognitive load is standard in research. In practice, measuring balance response while you do it is harder to replicate.

Pairing immersive visual perturbation with simultaneous ground reaction force capture lets you increase task complexity in a controlled, repeatable way. Center of pressure data reflects how the body actually manages competing demands, not just how it performs in isolation.

That distinction matters for clinical decisions and for research validity.

Opening Day is a reminder of how much force and sequencing go into a single pitch.

At American Baseball Coaches Association, we partnered with Swing Catalyst to capture how ground reaction force data and video analysis break down each phase of the pitching motion in real time, revealing insights into performance, efficiency, and untapped potential.

See exactly what your patient sees, in real time.

Bertec's Head Mounted Display streams the patient's virtual environment directly to the clinician's laptop through Bertec Balance Advantage. Live scoring keeps you informed throughout each session, and post-session reports give you a clear record for tracking progress and adjusting training protocols. The result is more confident clinical decision-making, integrated into the workflow you already use.

We’re at the Duke Vestibular Rehabilitation course this week with an experienced group of clinicians advancing their skills for managing complex vestibular patients.

We’re showcasing the Bertec Portable Essential, Vision Advantage, and Head Mounted Display to show how our technology delivers objective measures and trackable outcomes that complement the evidence-based VOR, sensory, and motor assessment and training strategies taught in the course.

Immersive virtual reality is changing how clinicians assess and train movement.

Bertec’s Head Mounted Display combines fully immersive VR with position tracking, hand controllers, and optional force plate integration to create controlled, repeatable visual environments. Clinicians can challenge visual, vestibular, and cognitive systems while objectively measuring how users respond in real time.

By pairing immersive scenes with quantitative data, clinicians gain clearer insight into performance, progress, and system interaction that traditional exercises cannot reveal.
