Just a reminder that Astronomy on Tap is coming up in two days on Thursday, May 7th! Come see two talks:
Matthew Citron will talk about “Searching for the dark side of our universe with particle accelerators”
and
Ted Swift will speak about “Chasing shadows: measuring asteroids using stellar occultations”.

Plus the usual astronomy in the news, trivia, a raffle.

Our next Astronomy on Tap will be Thursday May 7th, 6-8pm at Sudwerk, and we have our two speakers:

At the February 2026 Astronomy on Tap event at Sudwerk Brewing Co., Andrew Wetzel used supercomputer simulations to take the audience through the 13.8-billion-year history of the Milky Way galaxy.

We will hear from Professor Sean Carroll, who you may know from appearances on Through the Wormhole, The Universe, The Colbert Report, and other shows, and Professor Andrew Wetzel with two science talks.

We will also have our usual astronomy in the news, trivia, and raffle. Free and open to all ages, come down to Sudwerk for some food and drinks while you learn about astronomy!

Come to Sudwerk on February 5th from 6-8pm for the next Astronomy on Tap! We will have a talk from Professor Sean Carroll, who you may recognize from appearances on Through the Wormhole and other shows, is visiting from Johns Hopkins. He will talk about complexity in the Universe. Professor Andrew Wetzel from UC Davis will speak about the history of our own Milky Way galaxy. This event is free and open to all ages, be sure to come to Sudwerk for the talks, trivia, astronomy in the news, and some fun free astronomy stickers and posters.
