Shoutout to Ben, one of our outstanding Superintendents, for his excellent work overseeing the Goodwill Superstore project in McMinnville, which opened in mid-October! He maintained a clean, organized jobsite throughout construction and is still onsite wrapping up the punch list.

Ben consistently demonstrated our Heads Up safety mindset by connecting with subcontractors to proactively communicate plans and logistics. His efforts earned praise from several trade partners who appreciated how his coordination helped everyone work efficiently and made the process more enjoyable.

Alongside Jacob and Payton, Ben helped create a collaborative jobsite culture. Great work leading the team and showing what “We succeed together” looks like! We appreciate you. – Caleb

Another win for the Redmond Public Safety Facility! 🏆🎉

We're excited to share that this building has earned another honor—this time as one of only eight projects receiving a 2026 Building a Better Oregon (BBO) Award! Presented by the Cascades East Association of Realtors, these awards celebrate outstanding spaces that make a meaningful difference in their communities through design, economic impact and neighborhood improvements.

The 43,800-square-foot facility, completed in 2025, serves as the Redmond Police Department - OR’s headquarters, providing important spaces for those who serve and protect this growing community.

Congrats to our team, the City of Redmond, Oregon, FFA Architecture and Interiors, and all our project partners on an impressive accomplishment: the BBO Excellence in Public Safety & Community Service Award! We're proud to see this project recognized again.

Great projects start with great partners! 👏🚧

It’s Subcontractor Appreciation Month and we’re celebrating the talented trade partners who help bring our projects to life across Oregon.

From the craftsmanship you can see to the details behind the walls, our subs bring pride, problem solving skills and technical expertise to our jobsites every day. Just as importantly, they collaborate through challenges, look out for one another and keep their “Heads Up” to help us maintain safe jobsites.

Many of these relationships have been built project by project—and we’re grateful for every one of them. At Pence, “We succeed together” is more than a value—it’s how we build. Thank you to our trade partners for your commitment and essential role in our shared success!

Let’s hear it for our interns one more time!

It was a busy summer of learning in the field from Pence’s teams. Along the way, our interns toured projects ranging from a healthcare facility in Bend and retail store in McMinnville to Molalla River Middle School and more.

As one student put it, construction gives us the opportunity to give back to our communities while creating places where people can build their futures and make memories. We love that perspective!

Thanks again to this awesome group for bringing curiosity, enthusiasm and talent to our team this summer Building Space for People to Flourish!®

07/15/2026

Please extend a warm welcome to our summer interns!

This year’s group of 11 students are joining us from Oregon State University, the University of Washington, Cal Poly and the Beaverton School District. Our team is excited to provide meaningful mentorship and hands-on experience at projects across Oregon while instilling the importance of collaboration and curiosity in learning about construction.

We’re grateful to have you Building Space for People to Flourish with us!
