For years, SRC of Lexington and Komatsu North America have worked together as partners, building trust, quality, and shared values.
Today, we’re proud to share the next chapter of that relationship. SRC of Lexington is becoming Komatsu LRO (Lexington Remanufacturing Operation)—officially joining the Komatsu family.
While our name is changing, our people, our purpose, and our commitment to remanufacturing exceptional products remain the same. The same team. The same dedication. The same pride in the work we do every day.
Change can bring uncertainty, and we deeply respect the history, culture, and people who built SRC of Lexington into what it is today. At the same time, we’re excited for the opportunity to grow under the Komatsu flag and to be part of a globally recognized organization that shares our commitment to quality, sustainability, and customers.
We look forward to what’s ahead and will continue sharing updates as SRC of Lexington evolves into Komatsu LRO. Thank you to our employees, partners, and community for being part of this journey.

Komatsu North America has entered into an agreement to acquire assets of SRC of Lexington, Inc., a supplier of remanufactured components and parts for construction and mining equipment based in Lexington, Kentucky, U.S. The deal is scheduled to close at the end of February, subject to customary closing conditions. This move strengthens our ability to provide high-quality, cost-effective reman components and support our customers across the equipment lifecycle.

“This acquisition allows us to deepen our reman capabilities closer to customers, improve responsiveness, and support dealers and end users with high-quality, cost-effective solutions throughout the equipment lifecycle,” said Danny Murtagh, Vice President, Parts and Infrastructure, Komatsu North America.

With demand for remanufactured components growing alongside the region’s expanding equipment base, this acquisition brings a dedicated U.S. reman facility closer to customers, strengthens our local presence and supports sustainable, efficient reuse of components.

New Year, same SRC of Lexington!

As we get into 2026, we continue to remanufacture the engines and components that keep heavy equipment working hard and maintaining reliability.

Since 2009, our focus has stayed the same: reliability, quality, and a customer-first mindset.

Here’s to another year of bringing reman parts back to life for construction, mining, and industrial equipment! 🔧🔥

❄️🎄'Twas the night before Christmas at good SRC,
The shop floor was quiet… well, as quiet as can be.
But inside the huddle room, a warm festive sight—
With lights softly glowing, everything felt just right.

The tables were dressed in red, green, and gold,
Where friends gathered together—new faces and old.
Even retirees stopped by with a grin,
For a feast like this? Of course they’d come in.

A hot cocoa bar waited—steaming and sweet,
With marshmallows and cookies and all kinds of treats.
Desserts lined the tables, enough to go ‘round,
Holiday joy in each bite that was found.

Christmas dinner rolled in through the dock with great care,
With plates piled high and plenty to share.
The long line kept moving, laughter stayed loud—
This wasn’t just food, it was family allowed.

On the projectors above, holiday classics were shown,
Frosty the Snowman made himself right at home.
The Grinch appeared too, in his plaid Christmas style,
Earning more than a few knowing laughs and a smile.

Then came the drawings folks waited to see,
Tickets in hand and hopes running free.
Scott stepped up, calling names with good cheer,
For basketball games and fun goodies this year.

Next up was Rob, with prizes most prized—
Vacation days… even weeks (cue widened eyes!).
The room held its breath as each number was read,
Dreams of time off dancing in heads.

Then Nina stepped forward to finish it right,
With holiday prizes to recipients delight.
Prizes from all through the year found their way,
To happy SRC Owners before closing the day.

But none of this magic—this sparkle, this fun,
This gathering that felt like we’d all become one—
Would have happened without the heart behind it all,
Nina, who answered December’s big call.

With help from HR, and Becky as well,
And Nina beside her, who helped make it swell,
The décor, the lights, the care in each part,
Turned a workday celebration into something with heart.

So here’s to SRC Lex, and the season we share,
For moments like these show how much we all care.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night—
May your holidays be joyful, and your futures bright. 🎄❄️
