WELBRO had a wonderful time attending the NAWIC Greater Orlando - Chapter 73 Construction Career Camp this past week. This week-long event is designed to build self-confidence and teach basic construction skills to high school–aged young women. Through hands-on experience and guidance from trained instructors and female role models in the field, these students are able to explore new skills in a supportive and safe environment.

Our team enjoyed meeting the participants and sharing information on the many career paths available within the construction industry. We are proud to support an initiative that is helping to inspire and shape the future of our field.

As summer begins, we wanted to make sure every child continues to have access to food while enjoying some fun in the sun. Through WELBRO Gives Back, we partnered with Christian HELP, an organization dedicated to combating homelessness through employment services and their food pantry that serves Seminole and Orange County residents, to organize a food drive across our job sites. This collaboration builds on our ongoing work assisting with renovations to their offices and resource center, helping to expand their ability to serve our local community.

Thanks to the generosity of our employees and partners, we were able to deliver an overflowing amount of non-perishable food items and hygiene products to help families in need. WELBRO is proud to support Christian HELP's mission and to be making a positive impact, ensuring families have the resources they need and kids can enjoy a happy, healthy summer.

The event provides valuable opportunities for local small businesses to network with OCPS representatives and prime contractors, fostering meaningful relationships and collaboration. This Safety Month, our Safety Director, Ian Fennell, organized a series of safety sessions across our jobsites to give both our field and office teams the opportunity to learn and strengthen their understanding of staying safe on the job.

Safety is more than a requirement, it's a responsibility we all share. By ensuring every team member is informed and confident in proper protocols, we help create a workplace where everyone looks out for one another so we can all go home to our families at the end of the day.

Our team was honored at the most recent ABC of Central Florida Board of Directors meeting to receive a plaque recognizing WELBRO Building Corporation as a 2025 ABC National Accredited Quality Contractor!

This distinguished recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to quality, safety, and to the communities we serve. Achieving this status was no small feat and we're proud to be included among this select group of contractors nationwide. It is especially meaningful to be just the second general contractor in the ABC Central Florida Chapter to earn this distinction.
