Thoughtfully Designed for the Next Generation of Learning.

EDG Architecture + Engineering recently completed an interior renovation of a New York City educational institution, transforming existing spaces into warm, welcoming, and contemporary learning environments.

The renovation focused on refreshing the interiors while thoughtfully integrating modern MEP infrastructure and state-of-the-art AV/IT systems to support the evolving needs of students, faculty, and staff.

Through a balance of inviting materials, improved functionality, and seamlessly integrated technology, the project creates a more intuitive and engaging environment that supports teaching, learning, and collaboration.

On September 24, Team EDG raced in the New York Architects Regatta for the third year in a row, sailing out of Hudson River Community Sailing’s Pier 66 in Chelsea.

A Nor’easter was coming in, and the gusty, shifty wind made for a challenging day on the water. Despite these tough conditions, EDG finished 6th in the non-spinnaker class.

Fundraising is where the team really stood out. EDG raised $5,120, beating both last year’s $4,525 and our $5,000 goal. At the awards ceremony, the organizers gave EDG a special mention because our fundraising perfectly matched the Regatta’s intended model.

The money supports Hudson River Community Sailing, Rocking the Boat, Riverkeeper and the Harbor School, which help more New Yorkers get onto the water and learn about it. Across all 19 boats, the Regatta raised more than $156,000 this year. Thank you for all your support.

For Renwick Gardens, EDG designed a residential amenity space that is flexible, welcoming, and responsive to residents' everyday needs.

The space was planned to support a range of uses, from casual gathering and conversation to music, work, and community events. With a cost-conscious approach, the design uses furniture, color, and layered texture to bring energy and personality to the room, proving that thoughtful design can remain budget-aware while still creating a memorable and vibrant experience.
