Back in 2018, Trumbull Foundry & Alloy cast replacement arch supports for New York City’s subway system, replacing parts that had served for more than 100 years.

Our team owned every step in-house, from pattern making and pouring to machining and final inspection.

Today, that same mindset goes into every project. When a legacy part fails and the original supplier is long gone, we dig in, reverse engineer it, and pour critical ferrous components up to 3,000 lbs to get your equipment back to work.

Specialty alloy parts don't always come in big orders. An OEM might need just a few Ni-Resist components for corrosive or high-heat service, often to replace a part that's no longer in production. Many foundries aren't set up to pour a specialty alloy for a handful of pieces...

Gray iron and ductile iron are both cast irons, and both machine well. But they fail differently, and that difference usually decides which one belongs in your part.

Gray iron is the choice when rigidity, damping, and machinability matter most. Ductile iron is the choice when the part has to absorb shock, cyclic stress, or pressure without cracking.
