For more than 8 years, Apex has worked alongside the communities of Braintree, Holbrook, and Randolph, Massachusetts, supporting their water supply needs through planning, design, and construction.

That partnership helped bring a new Regional Water Treatment Plant into operation, serving all three communities and replacing aging treatment facilities in Braintree and Randolph.

Apex has helped guide the project from early planning and design through permitting, procurement, and construction. Along the way, our team supported PFAS testing as regulations evolved, coordinated public outreach and permitting, reviewed designs, and provided construction administration and resident engineering services.

As Water Quality Month comes to a close, we’re proud to recognize the work that goes into something many of us rely on every day: clean, reliable drinking water.

We’re proud to share that Apex has received a 2026 Excellence in Environmental Engineering and Science Honor Award in the Small Projects category from the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists (AAEES) for the Mighty Argo Cable Car Upper Landing Wastewater Reclamation Facility in Idaho Springs, Colorado.

This innovative project supports the Mighty Argo Cable Car destination more than 1,300 feet above Idaho Springs, where traditional wastewater infrastructure simply wasn’t an option. This compact containerized treatment system delivers reliable wastewater reclamation and water reuse in a challenging remote mountain environment while minimizing its environmental footprint.

Congratulations to Adam Sommers, PE and the entire project team whose creativity, technical expertise, and collaboration made this award-winning solution possible. This recognition reflects the team’s commitment to delivering practical, sustainable engineering solutions, even in the most demanding locations.

Some projects leave a lasting mark on a community.

Following the recent dedication ceremony, the All Veterans Memorial in Centennial Park in downtown Fort Myers stands as a tribute to the veterans who have served our country and a place where the community can gather to reflect, remember, and honor their sacrifice. Dedicated as our nation begins the celebration of its 250th anniversary, the memorial will serve generations to come.

Apex is proud to have supported this meaningful project by providing the civil engineering design and permitting plans that helped bring the memorial to life. It was an honor to contribute our expertise to a place that will bring people together while preserving the stories and service of those who came before us.

Congratulations to everyone whose vision, dedication, and partnership made this memorial a reality.

The Pasco Aquatics Center is officially open—and we’re proud to have played a role in bringing it to life.

Apex served as the lead civil engineering designer, supporting site surveying, geotechnical engineering, and entitlement efforts throughout this progressive design-build project. Working alongside NAC Architecture and Bouten Construction, this was a true team effort from start to finish.

This new facility is more than a project—it’s a space for the Tri-Cities community to gather, stay active, and connect for years to come.

Balancing active projects with sensitive wildlife protections requires thoughtful planning and experienced oversight. Apex is supporting a client authorized under a Commercial Disturbance Take General Eagle Permit through ongoing bald eagle nest monitoring.

Bald eagles are an iconic species and a powerful conservation success story, making careful stewardship especially important.
