As we finish our Summer Internship program we want to share the most exciting part: taking our interns out into the field!

Last week, our interns visited our Modesto Healthcare project for a site walk and to gain first hand experience as to how large projects like this are managed and executed. They’ve worked close with our project team to help build this project with us on paper, so seeing it in person is a completely different experience!

Hands on experiences like these help build the skills, confidence, and perspective that create the next generation of professionals, and we at Rex Moore are proud to shape that new future!

Big milestone alert on our Modesto project!

We just completed the 4th floor deck on the Ambulatory Care Hub, a major structural milestone on what will become a brand new Comprehensive Cancer Center for the people of Modesto.

The Central Valley has long deserved access to the kind of advanced cancer care that patients in larger cities take for granted. This facility changes that. It will bring world-class treatment right to the community's doorstep - including Theranostics capabilities, an emerging cancer treatment field that very few hospitals in the country offer. For many patients, that means no more long drives to distant medical centers during the hardest moments of their lives.

We've got great momentum and the team is locked in!

We had a great time hosting interns from Deacon this week – our third year in a row!

They joined our interns for a presentation on Engineering, VDC, and BIM, learned about Rex Moore, and got a tour of our facilities. They also got to fly through one of our 3D models with an Xbox controller — always a crowd favorite.

We truly enjoy partnering with companies like Deacon to show students just how many opportunities exist in construction. The electrical side alone has so much to offer, and moments like these remind us why investing in the next generation matters.

This summer, we’re excited to welcome nine incredible interns to the Rex Moore team! From field operations and project management to VDC, prefab and safety - they’ll get the opportunity to explore the many different areas of the electrical industry and gain hands-on experience along the way.

With nine interns stepping up to the plate, we figured we officially have our own baseball team this year!

Today, we pause to honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

This is the time to remember and honor the brave service members who gave everything for our nation. May their courage, sacrifice, and dedication never be forgotten.

As National Construction Safety Week comes to a close, we are proud to reflect on the many ways our teams brought safety to the forefront, both on and off the jobsite.

One of the highlights was our custom safety coloring book, designed to help teach the next generation about the importance of staying safe. Seeing our employees’ children coloring the pages, asking questions, and learning about safety in their own way was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do every day.

Safety is not just a jobsite priority. It extends to our families, our homes, and our future.

Thank you to everyone who participated this week and helped reinforce what it means to truly live a safety-first culture!

During National Construction Safety Week, one of our general foremen took a different approach to the morning safety talk by sharing a safety-focused poem with the crew.

It was simple, but powerful. The message hit home in a way that standard reminders sometimes do not. It created a moment where everyone paused, reflected, and reconnected with why safety matters, not just for ourselves, but for our families waiting at home.

Sometimes it is not about saying something new, but saying it in a way that sticks.
We encourage others across the industry to try this on at least one of your jobsites. You might be surprised at the impact a few meaningful words can have.
