Yasda’s kodawari of aiming to be the best rather than the biggest has resulted in many advancements for both us and our users. This very ethos is why we strive to achieve the highest levels of quality in manufacturing, expanding our knowledge, skills, and the market. That is to say, our pursuit of precision creates the future.

Just over 10 years ago, we released our PX30i 5-axis vertical machining center. It became our leading machine, utilized by users in many industries for their larger scale workpieces. Using lessons we learned from this model, we created a new PX model to expand its legacy.

The PX50i 5-axis vertical machining center is the latest contribution we offer to support customers on the cutting edge of their industries. Based on its sibling machine, it has the same capabilities with a bigger size and production capacity while utilizing brand new structures and hardware. Simultaneously, it preserves the same design philosophy, focused on fully automated, high-precision machining.

Yasda’s own brand of quality and precision in automation allows this machine to have a wide range in manufacturing. Stainless steel, Inconel, titanium and other hard to process materials are easily handled in this machine, and the spectrum of applications is just as wide. Even through continuous long running automated processes, the PX50i also preserves extended tool life and maintains dimensional accuracy.

Industries that are constantly evolving can use this machining center to stay on the cutting edge. Users in automotive, aerospace, medical components, and many other fields can trust the PX50i to meet their high demands in extreme precision, efficiency, and quality. In recent months, we have been sharing what Yasda’s kodawari—obsessive pursuit towards perfection in precision—means for our company and business. Through this obsession, we develop machining centers that bring the culmination of our knowledge and experience to bolster users’ finished goods quality and ROI. This video features the third piece of our sample kit: a two-material twist fitting. Created on the YASDA YBM Vi40 5 axis vertical machining center, it demonstrates our machines’ ability to work with different materials, even for one part. The twist fitting is also our most tactile piece, allowing potential customers to literally feel the results of our kodawari for precision and quality.

Featuring a small footprint, 360-degree rotating table, it can bolster ROI while utilizing various materials and processes. This versatile machine has applications for many industries—including automotive, electrical, daily necessities, aerospace, medical, and defense—for creating parts, components, and molds. When combined with YASDA’s own standards of precision and quality, it is an ideal manufacturing solution for any smaller factory.

Regarding the sample piece, it is created from materials of two different hardnesses. HRC53, which is a softer steel used in everyday tools, was used to create the female base. The male piece is made of the harder, and more durable yet brittle HRC60. Despite the opposite qualities of the individual materials, the part is fitted together so seamlessly.

Die and mold operations benefit from machine size and specialization; however, superior manufacturing of finished goods for any field is impossible without sub-micron level accuracy and repeatability. Therefore, all our machines are conceived to create and maintain the utmost standards of quality and precision in automation.

Our YBM series of machines is valued by our Mold and Die customers. Two machines in particular, the YBM640V and YBM950V 3-axis vertical machining centers, are our most popular models in this industry due to their array of capabilities. These models can work with hard, heavy, specialized materials while running hard milling, rough cutting, fine cutting, and EDM electrode machining processes. All these allow both machines to be great additions for users outside of the die and mold industry as well.
