The PX50i 5-axis vertical machining center has the size, range, and versatility to handle the various needs in almost any industry. This video shows the machine moving with our closed impeller and vacuum chamber sample pieces. The finished goods that can be made utilizing the unmanned smooth running of this machine result in high performance, longevity, and safety as well as increased ROI.

As a show of our omotenashi for prospective customers, the fourth sample of our kit is made from two different machines. The piece can show the quality and precision of capabilities in both machines and how they compare to each other. This way, the customer can better determine which machine would better suit their needs.

The top half was created on our YMC 430 3-axis micro-machining center. This machine features a footprint of 8x10ft, a maximum workpiece size of Φ9.84 x H6.69in, and a 40,000 rpm spindle. This model, also available in both 4 and 5-axis versions, is ideal for users requiring precision micro-machining and direct hard milling of specialized materials.

The YBM 640V 3-axis vertical CNC jig borer was used to machine the bottom half. Excellent for the die & mold industry, this machine utilizes a 24,000 rpm spindle, possesses a table size of 27.56 x 17.72in, and takes up only 9.2x6.8ft of factory space. This machining center can run hard milling, rough cutting, fine cutting, and EDM electrode machining processes.

Each alphanumeric character on this tactile piece has a different depth, down to the submicron level. Even though each side was machined with the same tool, the difference in surface roughness can be felt. Both models are also smaller siblings of other Yasda machines, so this piece also opens the door to many other possible end user solutions.

In Japan, October 12th marks Sports Day. Made to commemorate the first Tokyo Olympics in 1964, it is a day for celebrating many aspects of sports, including perseverance and teamwork.

“Shoshin wasuru bekarazu” is a Japanese saying that translates to, “Never forget your beginner's mind”. It's a proverb that embodies the importance of always being open to learning and developing. This is a quality that Yasda preserves in our pursuit to constantly evolve our knowledge, skills, and machining centers as well as user processes.

In the spirit of our own beginner’s mind, we had a meeting last week with our distribution partner, Methods Machine Tools. Their automation team visited the Yasda technical team to exchange ideas on how to best implement emerging technologies in future development of our machining centers. This meeting, along with many other efforts, will allow our business as well as that of our users to evolve.

IMTS 2026 has come and gone, but that doesn't mean we can't still show off what our machines (as well as the programs, tools, and other support they have) are capable of creating.

This post from CAMTOOL features an eagle sample made on our PX30i 5-axis vertical machining center and utilizing their software. Looking at it, you can see the surface roughness and submicron level of detail that this machine is capable of.
