A great day of giving back, learning and seeing firsthand how Sioux Falls continues to grow!

Last week, our Director of Estimating joined CFMA of Siouxland for a day focused on community and construction.

The day started at Lunch Is Served, Inc., where we rolled up our sleeves and helped pack lunches for people in our community. This organization does some incredible work and is always looking for volunteers and donations. If you’re looking for a simple way to make a difference locally, we encourage you to check them out!

Afterward, we had the opportunity to get an inside look at two major projects taking shape in Sioux Falls.

🏗️ Thank you to Henry Carlson Construction, LLC for showing us around the new LifeScape campus.

Days like this are a great reminder of what makes our community special. Local organizations giving back, local companies building for the future, and people working together to make Sioux Falls stronger.

Last Friday we had a great morning celebrating another investment in the future of our community!
The P&M Steel team was proud to attend the groundbreaking for the new James Abdnor Center for Advanced Manufacturing at Southeast Technical College

As a local steel fabricator, this project means a lot to us. The future of manufacturing depends on giving the next generation the skills, training and opportunities to build great careers right here in South Dakota.

We’re excited to be part of this project and want to thank Gil Haugan Construction for partnering with P&M Steel. We appreciate the opportunity to work together on a project that will have such a positive impact on our local workforce and community.

Congratulations to Southeast Technical College and everyone who helped make this project possible. We can’t wait to watch it take shape!

It’s always great to see a project come full circle!

P&M Steel is proud to have been part of the Latitude 44 project in Brookings. Seeing the finished spaces and knowing they’ll be part of the Brookings community for years to come makes projects like this even more rewarding.

Great work by Clark Drew Construction and all the teams involved in bringing Latitude 44 to life!

🌟 August Employee Spotlight: Ernest 🌟

This month we're excited to shine the spotlight on Ernest Canady, one of our Project Managers at P&M Steel.

Ernest plays an important role in helping our projects run smoothly and keeping our customers taken care of. His experience, dedication, and sense of humor make him a valued member of our team.

Outside of work, Ernest has quite a few stories to tell. His very first job was DJing at a skating rink, and one of his biggest adventures came when his dad dropped him off in the middle of the Green Swamp and told him to find his way home.

If he could master any skill overnight, he'd choose flying a helicopter. His dream is to one day travel to Australia to spread his dad's ashes, and if fortune ever smiled on him with a lottery win, he'd be looking for a house on a lake.

Most people are surprised to learn that Ernest is already a grandpa. His family says his superpower is "hearing without listening," and according to Ernest, he can say just about anything with a look from his eyes.

Thank you, Ernest, for everything you do for P&M Steel. We appreciate your commitment, your teamwork, and the positive impact you make every day. We're proud to have you on the team!

Another exciting project is getting underway right here in Sioux Falls!

P&M Steel is proud to be providing the structural steel for the new James Abdnor Center for Advanced Manufacturing at Southeast Technical College.
