Today we’re celebrating a milestone that very few people ever reach.

This year marks 44 years of service for Doug at Oakley Fence Company.

Doug started working for my grandfather, the founder of Oakley Fence Company, over four decades ago. Through the years he has helped build thousands of feet of fence, served countless customers, and played a major role in helping grow this company into what it is today.

What makes Doug’s story even more special is that he and Paul Brown have known each other since the second grade. Their friendship has lasted a lifetime. To this day, they still meet for breakfast nearly every morning before coming to work.

Over the years Doug has worn many hats, but today he continues to lead our commercial division bidding projects, managing jobs, solving problems, and bringing the same work ethic and dedication he’s had since day one.

In a world where people change jobs every few years, 44 years of loyalty, commitment, and friendship is something worth celebrating.

Doug, thank you for everything you’ve done for Oakley Fence Company, our customers, and our family. Your knowledge, dedication, and steady leadership have helped shape this company for generations.

There’s a difference between just building a fence…

This 6-foot cedar cap & trim fence was custom built with a board-on-board design for full privacy and a rich, high-end appearance. Then we stained the entire project to protect the cedar and bring out the natural beauty of the wood grain.

This property had a steep elevation change that required a custom stairstep transition down the hill. That kind of work takes planning, precision, and an experienced crew to make it flow clean and symmetrical from every angle.

Some jobs just fit the land they’re built on.

These two inspectors showed up before we could even finish taking pictures. 🫏

I’m pretty sure one of them approved the craftsmanship…
The other one was just looking for snacks.
