🔧 Three technicians came before us. The system still wasn't fixed. So the homeowner called Haviland.

Last Saturday in New Rochelle, we walked into a familiar situation: an AC system that had completely stopped cooling — and a frustrated homeowner who'd already had three different technicians out to look at it. Three visits. Still broken. 😓

The culprit was a refrigerant leak. And here's the thing about leaks — you have to actually find them before you can fix them. Just adding refrigerant and walking away is why that system kept failing.

So we did it the right way: 👇

🔍 Used an electronic detector to pinpoint the exact leak — no guessing
🔧 Re-made the flare connection at the source to seal it properly
🌡️ Pulled a deep vacuum to 480 microns to clean the system out
📊 Recharged with R-410A to the correct pressure — by the numbers

A little while later, we got the message every technician loves to see:
💬 "Thank you again, it is working good." ✅

That's the whole job, right there. Not a quick patch — a real fix that lasts. 💪

🌇 Racing the clock — and winning.
When this property owner called us, the situation was simple but the pressure was real: new tenants were moving in on July 1st, and the entire building needed to be climate-ready before they arrived. No wiggle room, no "next week."
So we got to work. Over 10 days, our team handled the complete utility rebate process from start to finish. Then, on June 29th, our three-person crew focused everything on this one site and installed 8 ductless mini-split systems in a single day — finishing a full day ahead of the deadline. ✅

有些钱，专业的HVAC技师绝不能赚

昨晚长岛-22˚C（-7˚F），体感温度更低。凌晨 11 点，Ronkonkoma 一台 RTU（屋顶机）罢工。业主隐瞒了是屋顶机，但我还是带上 Costco 买的 24 齿战靴爬上去了。冰面如镜，没这双鞋真不敢上。

打开机盖的一瞬间，我惊了。25 年机龄的 Rheem，火苗直接往外喷（Rollout），点火器烧焦，燃烧室已经锈穿。 业主问我：“师傅，换个点火器能不能凑合用？” 我的回答是：绝不！

热交换器穿孔：火往外喷会引发火灾，一氧化碳会直接进屋！

生命无价：为了省几千块换机费，拿全家人的生命赌那一氧化碳的泄露风险，这钱我不能赚，更不能让你冒这个险。

所有的诊断我已经生成了专业的 PDF 报告，并分享给了房东。无论最后谁来换，这份“病历”就是对房子的负责。

长岛的小伙伴们，老房子的空调和热水炉一定要定期体检。遇到只会“修补”不顾安全的师傅，一定要留个心眼！
