After a very full day of fire place repairs and services we switched gears to this late night outdoor TXV and filter drier replacement on this packaged heat pump system to ensure this customer has heat before this ice storm hits!!! Thankfully Trane Supply had this valve instock. The sensing bulb capillary tubing rubbed against another pipe inside the unit resulting in the sensing bulb losing it’s small amount of refrigerant charge and the TXV not being able to regulate the systems refrigerant superheat during the heating cycle. The system is now back online just in time!
