Today, we’re spotlighting another milestone event in 1976. Aaron Enterprises completed its inaugural open cut project, installing 400 feet of water line in Red Lion, PA—marking the beginning of decades of utility infrastructure expertise.

Working on Princeton University property, Aaron Enterprises, Inc. completed four rock crossings using auger bore methods and three 6” crossings using HDD methods. Founded in 1746, Princeton University is a busy school sensitive to pedestrian traffic. With limited room and restricted access, AEI could not service the entire excavation from the top of ground. A crane was used to lift a 50,000 pound class excavator into the bore pit to support the bore operations. All crossings were completed in early 2023 and the crew was requested back to fill the annular spaces of the casing with low density cellular grout.

Constructed Game Day Tunnel connecting Cole Fieldhouse locker rooms to Byrd Stadium. The 16.3’ diameter liner plate tunnel required pretreatment of soils before tunneling. Installed a series of horizontal grout pipes and injected grout in soil strata prior to tunneling. Installed 185LF of liner plate tunnel, a waterproof membrane and shotcrete the circumference along with a finished concrete floor.

Aaron Enterprises, Inc. was contracted to install 12,600 LF of 12” steel gas main by HDD on a high-profile project in Atlantic City, NJ. AEI’s scope consisted of 6 HDD’s ranging from 1,200 LF to 2,800 LF in length. The rig up, exit side and pipe stringing locations were on Atlantic Ave which is the main road to the casino strip. Due to the extent of closures and detours the project was completed in the winter. Project schedule, ex*****on and appearance was of high importance to the customer. This project was completed 2 months ahead of schedule with zero inadvertent returns while drilling.
