We’re excited to share that Julie Courtnage, Executive Director of the Mandela Mining Precinct, will be taking the stage as a panelist at the Junior Indaba this Wednesday! ⚒️✨

Julie will be diving into the conversation in Session Four: Technology and digital transformation in junior mining and exploration.

From AI and remote sensing to the hunt for new skills, she’ll be exploring how juniors are uniquely positioned to lead the way in safety, productivity, and attracting a more diverse workforce (including more women and young people!) to the sector. 👩‍🔬📈

Additional time to submit your EOI for SAMERDI 2026 partnerships:
DEADLINE EXTENDED TO 31 MARCH 2026, 16:00

The Mandela Mining Precinct is pleased to announce an Expression of Interest (EOI) to identify additional Collaborative RDI Partners for the implementation of the South African Mining Extraction Research, Development and Innovation (SAMERDI) Programme for 2026.

This call is extended to research organisations and institutions that traditionally qualify for participation and, as part of a strategic pilot initiative, is now also open to OEMs and private companies.

Please note that while private entities and OEMs may be considered as collaborators, any research activities requiring formal ethics clearance must be undertaken through recognised research-based organisations.
