GET Engineering have recently completed our new cutting head in Emerald, the heart of the Bowen Basin in Central QLD. The cutting head is what actually mines the coal and creates an auger hole, and this is the first Australian-built cutting head in 24 years! Typically built in the USA, we now have the capability in Emerald through our long-term supporters at GET Engineering, to fabricate and manufacture with the precision-engineering required to make cutting heads, and other auger mining equipment, to keep us mining coal. For the last 10 years Andrew and his team have worked side-by side with us, through many ups and downs, and so we say a big thank-you to Andrew and all the great people at GET Engineering. They are a leading-example of what the Emerald mining supplier network are capable of, and thats why most of our expenditure stays in town.
