Strong progress continues at our Kensington project.

The scaffold is now in place, first-floor walls have been completed, and the roof structure and tiling are finished. With the building envelope taking shape, the project is entering an exciting phase.

Next up, we’ll be commencing external rendering and services rough-in as we continue driving the project forward.

A testament to the hard work and coordination of our team and trades on site.

Project update on our newest site — two side-by-side homes now officially underway.

We’ve completed demolition, site set out, and screw pier installation, marking an important milestone in the early stages of construction.

Next, we move into drainage works for both homes before progressing toward slab preparation.

A strong start and a solid foundation for what’s to come. Looking forward to bringing this project to life.

Another key milestone reached at our Kensington project first floor slab successfully poured.

This stage is always a critical one, especially on a project where we’re carefully connecting the old with the new. A lot of planning, coordination and attention to detail went into ensuring the new structure integrates seamlessly with the existing, both structurally and visually.

It’s great to see it all come together on site.

Next up, we’ll be marking out the slab, followed by timber framing to the walls and continuing with the brickwork as the structure really starts to take shape.

Kensington Project Update

Great progress on site with the ground floor brickwork now complete and AFS columns installed. The structure is really starting to take shape, setting us up perfectly for the next stage.

We’re pushing ahead steadily and on track to have the first floor slab poured just before Easter — a key milestone for the project.

Strong momentum, quality ex*****on, and a great team effort all round

Ground floor concrete pour completed at our Kensington project.

A lot of preparation, coordination and attention to detail goes into a pour like this, especially when the project involves combining the old with the new.

Ensuring levels, services, reinforcement and structural interfaces are all correctly set out is critical before the concrete is placed.

Our team worked closely with the engineers and trades to make sure everything was perfectly prepared, allowing for a smooth and efficient pour on the day. These early structural stages are what set the foundation for the quality of the build moving forward.

Great work by the team and trades involved. On to the next stage

Our Ashfield heritage project is now complete, and the finished result beautifully showcases the balance between preserving the past and embracing modern living.

The brief for this project was to retain the charm and character of the original heritage home while carefully integrating a contemporary finishes. Achieving this balance requires thoughtful design, attention to detail, and a strong focus on quality design and workmanship.

The home features beautifully detailed custom joinery, warm timber flooring throughout, and striking raked ceilings that create a sense of openness while bringing natural light into the living spaces. These elements work together to elevate the overall feel of the home while still respecting its heritage character.

One of the most rewarding aspects of heritage projects is the ability to blend the old with the new, ensuring the original features remain a focal point while introducing modern finishes and functionality for everyday living.

We’re proud of what our team delivered on this project in Ashfield, and it’s a great example of how careful planning, collaboration, and craftsmanship can transform a heritage home into something truly special.

Ground conditions play a critical role in how a project is engineered and delivered.

On this project, due to the sandy soil conditions, we installed screw piers beneath the slab on ground prior to commencing plumbing drainage and steel reinforcement.

Sandy sites can present challenges with bearing capacity and long term stability. Rather than relying solely on conventional footings, screw piers allow us to transfer structural loads deeper into more stable ground, reducing the risk of movement and settlement over time.

Installing the piers at this stage ensures:
• A stronger, more stable foundation system
• Reduced risk of differential settlement
• Greater long-term performance of the slab
• Confidence before proceeding with in-ground services and reinforcement

Once complete, we can move forward with plumbing and steel installation knowing the structural base has been properly engineered for the site conditions.

Foundations aren’t the glamorous part of construction, but they are the most important. Getting this stage right sets the tone for the entire build.

Kensington- Consistent site meetings are one of the most important pillars of a well run construction project.

Bringing together the client, architect, and builder on a regular basis creates a clear line of communication and ensures everyone remains aligned on the project vision, scope, and expectations throughout the build.

Regular meetings on site allow potential discrepancies or design clarifications to be identified early before they escalate into costly variations, delays, or rework. Walking the site together provides the opportunity to review details in real time, confirm construction intent, and address any questions while solutions are still simple and efficient.

Site meetings are also essential for discussing procurement and long lead items. Reviewing what has been ordered, what is in production, and what is due to arrive helps the team stay ahead of potential supply delays and make informed decisions that protect the construction program.

Equally important is tracking progress against the construction program. Consistent updates on milestones, upcoming trades, and sequencing ensure transparency and allow adjustments to be made proactively if required.

Ultimately, regular site meetings create accountability, strengthen collaboration, and build trust between all parties. They provide structure, clarity, and confidence helping to ensure the project continues to run smoothly, efficiently, and in line with expectations from start to finish.
