Good job Kirst 👏
Kirsten Bowles
Last week our CEO Linda Nieuwenhuizen was onsite for the launch of the collaboration between WomenCAN Australia, Northern Victorian Institute of TAFE and VOLVO Australia that will see local women given the opportunity to progress through a heavy vehicle driver training program.
The Iron Women program will fill much needed gaps in our driver workforce.
Greater Shepparton is home to 25% of Victoria's heavy vehicles, and our broader region is home to the two busiest freight routes in Australia - so as a region we should own 'freight and logistics'!
We look forward to supporting the project partners, connecting them with our members - like Gouge Linen and Garment Service - and the many exciting careers in freight and logistics in our region.
